This place has historical and industrial value. Over 30% of the copper used by the allies in World War 2 came form here! Rio Tinto does a great job mining and has stepped up their community service game! They sponsor everything from city events to schools. Most recently, they have donated time and money to improving the Bingham “B” by making a service road and building conduit to light up the “B.”

Hope they rebuild the visitors center soon it's such a bummer local people can't come check out this historic Utah landmark

I went there to jump in but it was not steep enough... Great childrens slide. Not good for trying to be a super-human.

There are roads into the Oquirrh Mountains that afford amazing views of this spectacularly huge pit. One of the most underrated sights in the Salt Lake Valley.
