The Coffee Shop

We had 4 people with us, they clearly forgot our order, one of us ordered a bagel and cream cheese and none of us got our food until around 45 minutes later, most of the food was cold/undercooked.

Food was great I also loved the reto atmosphere. My problem was with the service not knowing who my server really was I had to flag down a girl just to get syrup and a water refill not the worst part tho when she asked what I needed she then rolled her eyes and then returned with a whole pitcher of water and dropped it on the table. I've been a server for 9 years and never would I treat a guest like this I also had to flag her down to pay when I asked her if I could pay her she rolled her eyes again and appeared very annoyed by the fact that it took me 30 seconds to pull my card out. Never once did she thank us or check to see how the food was. I wish I knew her name to warn others.

Teplitzky's is a good option if you're staying at the Chelsea since it's inside the hotel. I'm guessing most of their clientele are either guests of the Chelsea, or surrounding hotels. It's almost at the end of the boardwalk so I doubt anyone is coming all the way from say, Caesar's just to come here. I saw a sign advertising an early bird special for $5.99 but it's only from 7 am - 9 am and really, who is up that early after a night in AC? (Unless you haven't slept yet, then that's a different story). If you can't make it for the special, they have a good variety of brunch options, but I wasn't feeling any of the items. So I opted for a crispy chicken wrap, which I enjoyed. All sammies come with your choice of a side salad, or fries. I did the salad and I liked that everything was chopped into small pieces - like they actually put some effort into it and didn't just pour you some salad from a bag. My boyfriend ordered some omelette and it looked way overcooked. Did not look appetizing at all so I didn't bother trying it. I did however, want a bite of his hash browns and when I went to get it, I found a hair! Or at least what I thought it was hair. We flagged it to our waiter and he said it was actually a piece of plastic. Not sure which is better but I guess I would prefer the plastic. He threw it out and made a new dish pretty quickly (pretty sure he just stole the order from a different table who was about to get that same dish but oh well, not complaining) Last but not least, if you're looking for a bit of hair of the dog, they've got some breakfast cocktails too. We opted out though, and I just went with the bottomless coffee, which was surprisingly some pretty good coffee! Tip - check into the Chelsea for 50% off an entree, or check into Teplitzky for $5 off your bill (which comes out to be around the same discount)

Have always had a good experience here. The staff is friendly and the food is great for the morning after a long AC night. Worth a stop if you're staying in the Chelsea.

Great food and great service. After staying at The Chelsea, we decided to have breakfast at Teplitzky's after checking out. The food was delicious and the service was great. We order The Big Teplitzky which included eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, French toast, pancakes, a bagel, coffee, and orange juice. It's definitely a bunch of food, but at $25 for 2 people, it's worth the price. I highly recommend this place and will be going for another awesome breakfast the next time in Atlantic City.

Very good for breakfast. House-made granola is good on its own and even better in the yogurt parfait. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, oatmeal and omelettes are just right. My family ate here every morning on a recent trip to AC.

Besides the excellent menu the things that really stand out about this place are it's retro-chic decor and it's quaint indoor/outdoor setting. You'll feel like you're at a Hollywood hotel in the early 60's. Had to stick around for a few minutes afterwards just to take pictures. It was that cool!
