This place is as close to a 5 star fancy restaurant you can get in the bay area. Located in a Victorian house, It's a must come! I reserved a table weeks in advance, foods amazing, fancy, and romantic. Great place for a date or proposal.

Amazing place. It was atmospheric, cozy, feels like home restaurant. Located in old Victorian house. Food was so great and delicious. If you are fond of garlic, it is your Haven. Even bread is served with olive oil and mashed garlic. That was amazing. Menu itself is not huge, but there are variety of interesting, unique options like duck, lamb, scallops, etc Also place has a back yard where you can seat outside. Be aware they have their own parking lot inside, entrance from B street. It is hard to notice first time, but they have their sign pointed to that parking. It is right behind their restaurant, drive way between 2 houses.

This place is special to me since my husband proposed to me here. The waiter came over to congratulate us and gave us two glasses of sparkling wine. The food was very delicious too. We’re going back for our anniversaries for the years to come.

Even though this place is a half an hour drive from home, it has become our "go to" place. Performance excellent, so is the service and the prices are very reasonable but most of all it's a very comfortable place. It's not so noisy either. We like it because we can hold a conversation without shouting to be heard. And the food is consistently good. They don't have a huge menu but whatever they offer has always been very good to outstandingly good. We think they are better than reliable. This is a place that is good enough to take people from out of town to.

Excellent food in an elegant setting. Filet mignon was great, as were the whipped potatoes and green beans with balsamic reduction. Starter salad and cheesecake for dessert. Definitely call for a reservation, because it's not a very big place. We did see one couple get turned away by the waiter.

Wonderful place. Intimate dining room. Excellent and attentive service. Bread pudding was so delicious.

Great food and great service. We both had rib eye steak. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Huge! Only down moment.... We asked for sour cream to tone down the Horseradish (it was knock your socks off strong!!) and it seemed to annoy the waiter. Anyway... No sour cream. Everything else was terrific!

Not sure how this place got 4.5. I would rate this more like 3.75 if that was an option but not quite a 4. The service was good and timely but unfriendly and direct. I guess if one is comparing what is available in Hayward then yes maybe given the locale a 4.25 but certainly not a 4.5 which is the same rating attributable to many of the best restaurants in the Bay Area that are far superior in taste, presentation, and service than Neumanali. The food was good but definitely not off the charts great to demand a 4.5. Experience - We walked in without a welcome and when we departed both main waiter guy and lady behind the bar looked at us, made eye contact, we said goodbye and no response back....it was like this weird, pretentious spot that just somehow has been allowed to manifest itself in Hayward. Even in Palo Alto, Los Altos, San Mateo and Burlingame they are far more welcoming than here. Overall even though I would have rated a 3.5 to 3.75, I decided to rate it a 3 considering in the array of restaurants I have had the opportunity to dine in all along the west coast, this restaurants ratings are overrated (at least by my experience) and therefore a bit of “market correction” from my side to bring that down somewhat.

I've been going to this restaurant for many years. The service is excellent and the food is as excellent. Best to make reservations as the size of the restaurant is small, maybe 10 or 12 tables. Great place for celebrations.
