The atmosphere in the casino was good. Great customer service from the time you walk in until the time you leave. The buffet had a great variety of food. Give the lobster a try with some melted butter. It's a bit of a drive from the freeway but it's still a lot closer than Vegas if you live near the coast in So. Cal.

Friendly staff, lively environment, best food in San Diego. It is an all you could eat lobster buffet but you are limited 2 per plate... so if you don't want to make multiple trips kindly ask your server to bring a plate to the table. Also they currently are under construction in the front but don't let that stop you from coming in, valet is waiting for you in the parking structure . Definitely 10 for 10 :)

Always extremely friendly. No kids around. Many promotions. The monthly car giveaway is so exciting. Attendants on the floor are absolutely the best. Cheery, positive, and always available. Large non-smoking area, good machines, very upbeat place. However, winning a jackpot and the manner in which you collect your winnings after requesting taxes taken out, is ridiculous.

A smaller casino but one of the nicer ones to visit. Buffet is decent. They pump up the fact it's a lobster buffet but don't get too excited about that. The lobster tails are small and sometimes kinda rough looking. They limit you to two half tails per trip and get almost angry if you ask for more. They have a cafe that is the gem for food and I recommend. The hotel is almost boutique'ish. Not many rooms and they book up fast. Free breakfast and line pass with each stay (which is a nice touch). A nice pool area as well. Not many table games due to being a small casino. No craps, only one 3 card poker, no Let it Ride, one roulette table, etc... Overall it's clean, you feel safe, and they have good promotions.

Another satisfying trip to the buffet for lunch. I am definitely not a one plate and done kinda gal. I never skip the sweets either. Lunch has great options hot main items to cold salads. Tons of proteins, fruits and fresh vegetables. Sorry no chicken nuggets. Must be 21.

Valley View is my go to casino. They have fountain areas throughout the casino for self serve drinks. They have a variety of games with Willy Wonka being my favorite. The best part is their buffet. They always have good deals on buffets unlike other casinos I've been to. Sometimes $10 can get you all you can eat buffet which some days includes lobster !

Access was through the non-smoking section. We didn't stay in a room. We just went for the amazing buffet :) the staff there greeted us with a smile. The waiting service was quick! My family and I have been going there for years now and it's always a pleasure

Went to Valley View hotel and casino with family. The experience was great! The staff was very friendly. The restrooms were always clean. The comps my family got were great. The giveaways for members were good too. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking. All in all a great time! Will definitely be going back again.

I had a really pleasant experience at the Valley View Casino. This review will be for the casino only, as I did not dine at The Buffet or stay in the hotel portion. The floor plan of the casino is nice and spacious, with lot of new machines and a large non-smoking section. The reason I an not giving 5 stars is the casino has gotten rid of a lot of unique slot machine they had previously to this visit. Gone was Haunted House, Full Service and Spin-Ups. While I had a fine time playing others, those machines in particular were different and more entertaining than the cookie-cutter programmable machines that make up the majority of the remaining options. All in all, this casino is still a fine choice for visiting, as it is nice and close to San Diego. And the Buffet cannot be beat!

This review is for The Lobster Buffet only. Hands down this is the best lobster buffet in the area! Las Vegas quality! Excellent overall food quality, service and enough food variety to please most! Yes, they portion out 1 lobster tail cut in half, but don't worry there is plenty for many returns. Although the meats, ethnic foods, comfort foods, salad bar, soups, fruit and cheese bar are scrumptious, the seafood is what you want to concentrate on! Save room for deserts! Well worth the trip outstanding value that can't be beat! Prepare to wait in line it's that good! $32.50 weekdays (higher weekends).

Great time on birthday. Live band, drinks, sports on TV, and slots. Band was very good playing mixture of old and newer music. Even got crowd involved. Playing slots off/on losing designed fun money till hit a high payout that payed for night. Great place to have fun and relax and enjoy.

Nice to place to come and relax a little. My mom loves the slot machines here. Brings her good luck. The house are very tight on their free coupon for food. My dad checked in $500 and lost for playing black jack in 2-3 hrs, pit boss gave us $15 for some pizza. Didn't know pizza would cost us $500. Anyways, it's a business and they gotta make money, right. Well they could loosen up a little. Maybe $30 won't hurt. Just my 2cents.

Nice place to hang out. Not too glamorous though. Currently undergoing renovations so its even less glamorous. Clean and not too smoke filled rooms. Huge no smoke area. Buffet is really good based on price. Live bands at bar are usually good. Definitely a big plus in my book for when I want to stop for a drink with friends. Don't know much about gambling aspect.

I went to collect my free gift of the month. I was told the free gifts were located in the events center, i had no idea where that was. A team member was kind enough to walk me over and point me in the right direction. As i walked through the hotel lobby i was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. There were great 2 floor windows with sweeping views of the mountains, downright gorgeous view. As i was admiring the view i saw the pool, it was one of those pools that overflows over the side of the mountain. It looked so amazing that I wished i were staying there. Maybe one day i will see what the rooms look like. If they are anything like the lobby or pool then it would probably be a very luxurious experience.

Went here for the "famous" all you can eat seafood buffet with lobster.. Well the lobster is quite small (like a big shrimp). Its all you can eat but the server will only give you two at a time. The rest of the food is mediocre and not presented very well. The crab doesn't taste fresh, it was rubbery. I don't believe the price justifies the food quality here.

Valley View Casino is a great place to put all ones worries and issues in the back of their mind. Because once inside its all about you and the machine or Dealer you chose to assist you. Its a safe and convenient get away. The hotel is immaculate and breath taking. The staff is courteous, respectful and always friendly. I rate Valley View 5 stars because this Casino is, a challenging way to win what we all deserve from time to time $MONEY$

We have visited Valley View a few times, primarily to enjoy their maine lobster buffet and secondarily to play some slots. Regarding the buffet, it's fabulous! The majority of their foods are flavored and cooked perfectly to my taste. I give it four stars because the wait to get into the buffet can be quite long and I'd rather be playing slots than standing in line and I go for the protein options, but I think they could generally do better on desserts. The slots are fun. Their smoke-free area seems smaller and is tucked into a corner of the casino, so walking through all the smoke (and standing in line for the buffet, which happens to be in the smoking section) can get a bit stinky and carcinogenic. Of course if you smoke, this may not be an issue. For the buffet, we literally drive an hour, and we always leave happy and satiated. I love it!
