This is an Italian Restaurant, so my wife was excited to order eggplant parmigiana, her favorate Italian dish. (We have had this dish here before). But it was not on the menu and the kitchen chef would not prepare it for her. Needless to say, she was disappointed when she had to order something else. Although I enjoyed my meal, she didn't. We will not return. Next time we will go to the Italian Restaurant in the Borgata.

Italian-American food & gnocchi My boyfriend took me to the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City during the first week of March 2018 and we had dinner at the Grotto one of those nights. I must admit that the meal I had at the Grotto was the one I least appreciated from all the meals I had during our stay at the Golden Nugget. I ordered the Gnocchi con Pancetta e Funghi and was hugely disappointed. (I love gnocchi and I love gorgonzola!) My gnocchi had been microwaved so the gorgonzola cheese sauce was not nice and creamy and smooth but instead the gnocchi were actually swimming in 'OIL and GREASE' and the gnocchi were a bit rubbery! (Yes, I tried it despite the appearance.) For my personal tastes the dish was awful and literally stomach-turning upon eating a forkful. (I can't eat food swimming around in oil and grease like that, I'm sorry.) I can't even remember the red wine I had.... I didn't want my poor boyfriend to get upset because he was trying so hard to make me happy so I just said I was still too full from lunch to eat the pasta and said nothing to the waiter. My boyfriend however enjoyed his meal--whatever he had (I couldn't even look at his food after tasting my gnocchi.) Such a shame....

Horrible, horrible service. Waited 30 minutes and no server came to take our order. Informed the bar tender and said, oh the server will be right with you, no one came. Informed the hostess and said, the server will be right with you, still no one came. Waited another 15 minutes then walked out of the restaurant. 2 minutes after we walked out, table was clean. They paid more attention to clearing out the tables than getting orders in. Thank you to the person who at least gave us bread. Horrible horrible service. Don’t come here.

The food is very good and consistent but they take forever!!! If you want to sit and waste a few hours than this place is for you ..

Me and my fiancee went their for dinner on Tuesday may 15 2018 I have 2 parts to this story for 1 let me start off by saying the food was fantastic never had such a wonderful meal in my life hands down food was great now the issue I have is with the bill when the bill came me and my fiancee both used or players card to use our comp dollars when the. Comp dollars was subtracted from the bill I paid the remaining balance in cash only to find out a few days later they took the cash payment as well charge the remaining bill to my room bill what a shame I don't make a lot of money but I do save so time time we can enjoy a good meal but feeling some type of way being charged twice at this restraunt

Booked through open table, never had a problem before, but just in case I called a few hours in advance to confirm my reservation. I tell them my name and reservation time and they can not find it. I read them the reservation number and they had it booked for Monday the 19th. I booked it for Sunday the 18th. We get there and we are seated, (the place is so empty, not sure why we needed reservations. the bread was stale and had little gnats in it. The Absolute vodka martini was absolutely watered down. The manager comes over and apologizes, proceeds to get me another martini, that had absolute in it this time but I still had to pay for both. The Osso Bucco was like a salt lick. The Ravioli was frozen not fresh, overall, over priced, and I will not be returning to this restaurant. What shame. On top of all that, i don't even get credited for going there because since they screwed up my booking it looks as if I never went.

I've eaten there many times. But I notice the quality of the food is going down. I recently ordered chicken. There was no meat on it at all. I sent it back Which I never do but it was bad. I also have ordered chicken parm. Each time, I might get a tiny piece of chicken n sometimes a big piece. The portion is never the same. I think I'll have to find a new place to eat.

I highly recommend this place, highly!!! Loved the service this place serves one of the most delicious food I've ever tasted in my life! The spaghetti and meatballs and the home made Bruschetta was just out of this world. Everything was magnificent.

Food was fresh and had great flavor. The portions were great, and prices not bad based on the quality of the food. The strawberry cassata cake was amazing, and melted in your mouth. Ive never tasted anything quite like it. The only reason why I'm not giving five stars is because the service was a little slow for a Wednesday night. Although the waitress was very nice about it, I did become a little impatient waiting 15 minutes just for our bread in the beginning. Will return though!
