4th Time is the Deal Maker Last night my wife and I went to the Cafe Milano at the Peppermill Resort on South Virginia Street. We had been there previously. Three times to be exact. Those three times the service was horrible, the food not so stellar, it was primarily the service that had turned us off on it and had us avoiding the place since our last stop there back in February of 2015. Due to renovations our primary choice at the Peppermill was unavailable to us so reluctantly we went to the Cafe Milano. They too were undergoing renovations but they were open. We didn't have to wait long before we were seated, and then we met our server, Humberto. Last time I always ended up having to flag down our server for refills, Not so with Humberto, the time before last our check was dropped off with our meal and we were pretty much ignored by the wait staff. Not So with Humberto. Humberto took our order and came by regularly to check and see how we were doing, and I will let you know he did the same with all of his tables keeping up with them and he had one of busiest sections. Our Salads were delivered precisely on time, and our main meal, I having the New York Steak, with Steamed Vegetables, Baked Potato and Garlic Bread. My wife had the Rib Eye steak with French Fries, Steamed Vegetables and Garlic bread as well. Both meals cooked to exactly how we wanted them, mine Medium Rare and hers Rare. The food was fantastic. Normally I am not a big tipper but Humberto got a very large one from me, and that was when I found out he had been only working there for a week. I want to let the manager know straight up that Humberto and his service made us do a total 180 when it came to our opinion of Cafe Milano. Keep him, and my hats off to the Chef as well for one of the best New York Steaks I have had in a long time.

Food was great, so was our waiter ( Ramon ) had a smile on his face and was very attentive .I'm going to make sure we ask for him every time we come here.Thank you

The Fare is tasty, waits can be long to get seated and to be served but it's always been worth the wait for me

Great food and even better service. Love the menu selection of different types of food that’s available 24hrs a day. Here’s a Tip; you can have just about the same menu at their sister property, the Western Village Casino located in Sparks at a lower price...you’re welcome!

Absolutely stunning! Love Peppermill.....their quality is top notch in every imagining way. Cafe Melano, is "the place" for all three, breakfast, lunch, & dinner, the quality & value of food is exquisite!

Fast and friendly service. The coffee is pretty weak and not much for flavor, but the PANCAKES... they are quite fantastic. Their waffles aren't bad either, just go somewhere else for coffee. The Breakfast plate melons are also pretty ripe, which is a pleasant surprise. Breakfast here is one of my traditions in Reno and getting in and out at unusual hours has never been an issue for me

Today was different. Super waitress, but my corned beef tasted off, and I ordered a mocha (twice) but kept getting latte, the third time I just kept it. My husband had the best gravy and biscuits and bacon! Yummy! Cinnamon rolls are wonderful too.

Mother's Day 5.14.18 It's a gorgeous, and cute little café, the whole experience was great! Food, service, drinks, Keno lady, the young lady who brought our drinks, to the really nice young lady to take our orders. You'll go in hungry and come out full, the food is OFG good, and pretty,⬅️ (yes pretty) 2 of us had the Tritip French Dip (mine was mediumn rare) it's thick but the meat is perfectly thin, and waffle fries. OMFG all of it was great. 3 had this Fried burger (can't remember the name of it) the burger was fried, it had bacon, egg, gravy, and cheese ⬅️(I think) (medium, well done, and just pink in the middle). It's like breakfast, lunch and dinner in one burger. All the guys had to cut their burgers in half cause they're huge, and waffle fries. I swear each plate can feed another person x2 cause the meals are portioned are amazing. Go in, sit, eat, drink, play Keno, and enjoy your meal. It's worth it. The wait for seating isn't a long wait, maybe 5-10 mins, and they'll page you when they're ready to seat you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Is what The Café deserve. 😄

This place is like a high end Denny's. Decent price. Nice ambiance. Nothing special about diner food. Don't order the overpriced water-down folger coffee that set you back $4. Lacks flavor and aroma. One good thing about this place is that it's 24 hrs.
