Went here because of the positive reviews and left hungry because the food was so bad. Lobster was like eating a piece of tire and everything else was just as bad including the crab. The food selection was very small, overall horrible experience, went across the street to a better buffet.

I really like going to their buffet and having all you can eat crab legs. Their lobster tail is delicious as well. I recommend this place as well. The casino is nice overall. They are currently building the hotel, it looks like is going to be very nice.

The Buffet here is perhaps the best casino buffet in Colorado. was my first visit and i was surprised with the quality and selection. They give you a ticket for lobster and in our party of six people we only used 4 tickets so we were able to give our remaining lobster tickets to the table next to us. They were very appreciative.

These guys would get 5 stars if the security guys could get their stuff together. My girlfriend and I were carded when we entered and then given a wrist band that I was told.. Proved we were 21+. Got carded multiple times further and no one had anything to say about the wristband. When I asked what the heck the wristband was supposed to do.. Nobody would give me an answer. I'm 32 BTW.

I have not been able to enjoy a casino in a long time, but we do come for the buffet. First off thank you for including a couple gluten free desserts. My wife has an allergy and it is nice to have options for her. Second if you need a kid free environment this is the place to go. (Illegal for kids in casino) Love the food and trust me I get my gullton on when I am there. The staff is friendly. I admit I keep them busy sometimes and they stay on top of things. All in all I love the Monarch Buffet. Come get some prime rib, sea food or hit the sauld bar. A wonderful time out to indulge.

Nice place, not as crowded. The machines were tight though. In all my casino trips over the years, I never lost my money this fast. I mean there was nothing coming back. Not even a tease, just putting money in and it its gone. I had heard rumors, which I though were BS. But its true, they are tight.

We haven't been to Black Hawk in years. Our family who went up with us suggested the Monarch Casino. The shuttle driver was professional and kind. Upon entering the casino, the appearance was inviting(Even with construction). I enjoyed the self-service drink stations ( I was the DD). All the staff we encountered was professional and kind. There was only one slot machine that was out of order. I'm not sure if it was just luck, but our entire group was able to play for hours, and my husband and I both left with our pockets a little heavier then when we arrived! Because it was our first time at the Monarch, we were given complimentary buffets. This was the only disappointment. Our server, was a little screwy. She was sniffing and said she was itchy, but also stated she wasn't contagious. Then after she served our drinks, she decided to take a load off and sat down with us. She spoke about how much she has to work due to being short staffed and how high the turnover rate is. She was friendly but odd. The food itself was ok. We all agreed we would probably never pay cash for the buffet. It will be interesting to see the casino and hotel when it's all complete.

Parking is pretty easy, you'll go down to the first floor and a bus takes you to the casino. Usually go to the buffet here, hotel is under construction. Food is a hit or miss depending on the time that you go, the same food is served almost every night. Most come here for the lobster, which at first were small now every time we've come they have been fuller and nicer. The kitchen staff is friendly. The servers and bussers are quick. Outside of the buffet there are seats for those who want to relax while others in their party play. Cocktail waitresses serve drinks when you've sat and play awhile. There's also stations for refreshments with sodas, coffee, hot chocolate and tea.
