My wife and I just returned 2nd Feb from Caribbean on Carnival. Splendor The only thing related to splendor was ships name. Good sized cabin,pleasant cabin steward ,but cost a fortune to cover bed with perfume and talc to remove smell from bed mattress Tacky dated decor,carpets,and seating in deck 9 eating area bordering on filthy.Nobody on this ship interested in hand sanitising,a complete non event as far as ships crew were concerned An eight day cruise on this ship during Summer,with constant heat is a health disaster waiting to happen. Could not believe closed pool and water slide on second day of lovely weather,reason, to clean and disinfect,good reason but damn bad timing as had plenty of time at beginning of cruise and end to do both We were sailing to New York,so pool and slide were not cruisers priority,but keeping warm as ship was a fridge for four days when both leaving and arriving in NY was My wife had to breakfast and for most of day with fur coat on Everybody complaining of cold ship,answer from Guest Relation" we are going to Caribbean". Staff serving with body warmers and woolly hats on,but ship still blowing cold air from air conditioning,no officers seen at any time to receive any guests concerns Even had use of our balcony removed as "essential ship cleaning" given as reason,on an 8 day cruise ? So to end,sadly many guests we spoke to, both European and American had the same answer when we asked about their cruise. "Never again will we cruise with such a loud dirty uncaring in your face cruise line who think if the music is deafening,entertainment third rate, food uncooked and cold,and you keep telling everybody about fun, fun ,fun then it is ok, no sorry it is not" Never again will we sail Carnival
