Atlantis has drastically improved over the last 10 years. My girlfriend and I came here as an excursion (swimming with the sea lions and beach day) after arriving in Nassau on a Carnival cruise. The employees were helpful. If you appeared lost (the resort is huge), they'd approach you to see if you needed help. The beaches have plenty of room to sit out in the sun or go for a swim in the clear blue water. One area seemed to be a cove, eliminating a lot of the waves and making for pleasant swimming conditions. There were a lot of food shacks around as well as different types of attractions and amenities. If we were staying at the resort, it'd probably take 2 or 3 days to see and do everything.
