Pros: Huge and cool room that was mostly clean. Decent pools. Decent location. Attractive rates for the location and room size. We stayed 2 nights here. We had a lot of little things go wrong during our stay, none of which is a big deal on their own, but which combined to make us swear off this hotel in the future: The room was recently painted, and had a strong and immediately noticeable paint odor. Not a big deal, -- we opened a window. The TV wouldn't tune into any channels at first. No big deal -- we plugged in something attached to the TV that had been unplugged, and eventually got the TV working after a bunch of fiddling. Our room had a wet bar, which was pretty neat. But it didn't come equipped with anything except a sink. No bottle opener, no corkscrew. The soda machine outside of our room accepted my $5 bill and gave me one soda, but didn't give me any change or let me buy another soda, even though they cost $2 each. I probably could have hassled the hotel to give me change, but I didn't feel like it would be worth my time. No big deal -- losing $3 is nothing when you're visiting Las Vegas. My finacee encountered a little spider folded up into her bath towel as she was getting out of the shower. She shrieked. No big deal -- I smashed it (sorry little spider.) The AC/heating unit would sporadically turn on and off, no matter what settings were in effect. I've never seen a hotel AC that you couldn't get to stay on, like with a 'fan' setting. No big deal -- we can sleep without white noise. And, the grand finale: I found a piece of used drug paraphernalia in our room. I didn't go rooting for it, either, it was sitting out in the open on the floor. Not sure how housekeeping missed a bright red straw caked with drug residue. No big deal -- I'm an adult, and it's Las Vegas. I threw it away. More concerning here is that I inadvertently became connected to illegal activity due to the hotel's inattentive cleaning staff.
