Alameda County Fairgrounds has 2 RV lots the South lot and the North Lot. We pulled in later in the evening and were put in the South lot. So we paid for 2 nights. Went to the camp host the following day to pay for a week. We asked to move spots up from 1 spot in the South lot to another spot in the South lot. She said it was available. So we paid and got our paper work. We then get a phone call from Joyce (the lady that makes the decisions) that we cannot be in the South lot we have to move to the North lot. The south lot is for Horseman. We go talk to the Camp host, she is unaware of Joyce moving construction people out of the South lot but whatever Joyce says go cause she makes the decisions. So we go look at the spots available in the North lot (which are more expensive) they are all small and very close. There is no room between your neighbor and your self. So we found a couple ends spots and some with grass. But No we couldn't have those cause they are not available for long term stay. But there is no long-term stay here, cause you have to move your trailer every 30 days due to some kind of California law. We have been all over California for the past year, this is the only park that has makes you move every 30 days. Apparently Joyce does not live in the trailer and know how much time and work it takes to move from 1 spot to another. The people who work and live here are so nice! I just wish the park were ran better so you could get the same answers from the people who work here. There are no other parks in the area unfortunately.
