Lovely ship, medium casino size
my older sister and I chose this as my Prime Tier cruise - glad we did! We originally had an Ocean View cabin, but bid on Royal Up for a Balcony - and WON! our balcony cabin was a "regular" one on Deck 7, starboard, forward. It was VERY roomy, with tons of storage for the *heavier* type outfits we needed! The twin beds were very comfortable. bathroom was just perfect, with reasonable amount of storage, and shower was big enough and functioned well. Our steward Suwanda was So good, and so pleasant! if we needed ANYTHING he would produce ASAP! Foods were very good, did Main Dining 3 times, Buffets some. plenty of variety in buffet foods, and good selection in MDR. it was last cruise for Quantum to AK this season, and the Sales in shops were WONDERFUL! $5 Logo Tshirts! LOL. I would happily sail on Quantum again, if they would just update the selection of SLOT Machines ! Our Fave Slot wasa Dancing Drums and there were only FOUR on the casino floor !! Same for the similar 88 Fortunes ! Saw a lady hit the GRAND $10K on one of those !! TYVM URC for getting this booked for us !!

Quantum not for us
Disclaimer: We are Royal Loyal. This is a hard review to write, but I have to be honest. This was the worst casino on any Royal ship we have sailed. If you like tables, then it’s for you. Almost the entire center of the casino in filled with tables and the slots were on the walls. The available games were limited to a few lock it link and then the rest were, well, not so fun. This is my opinion so please read this as such. With so few good machines to play, you had to go very late to possibly play something you wanted. We did not play as much in this casino. We did not care for the decor of the ship, the food was mediocre for a Royal ship. The staff did as well as they could but they were obviously understaffed or under trained. To end on a positive note, it was an Alaska cruise. The UR Comped team was great as always and we are looking forward to our upcoming sailing on the Allure.

No video poker/keno
The Quantum is a beautiful ship, but it has NO video poker/keno. All they have are Chinese video machines. The pit boss told me it is because the ship was built for the Asian market. I was so disappointed and didn’t play any slots on this trip. I won’t sail another ship built for Asia.

Second Royal cruise
Our stateroom was very nice and larger than we expected. The staff throughout the ship was very friendly and accommodating. The food was top notch. The casino left something to be desired. They had three tables and an automated machine for some Asian game utilizing three dice. They were never opened, just wasted space. There was no craps table. That meant that at busy times it was hard to get to your favorite slots. Overall, I enjoyed our cruise and look forward to the next one.
