MSC Seaside

Small, low variety
Casino is small. Low variety of slots and tables. Most dealers are not personable, makes play a bit dry. Pit supervisors are very friendly and Casino host is very nice. Not a lot of 'extras' or tournaments. No craps or texas hold'em (outside of the carnival style tables). No 6 card on the three card poker (only pairs and prime). Slots seem very limited in variety. Bar service is slow.

Small Smokey Casino
we had ocean view room which was bigger than I expected. Room steward seemed a little over worked but friendly. The casino was small . limited machines for 5000 people. It seemed smokey in spots and very loud. It was hard to get a drink and we even tipped, better towards the end of week. Pools are gorgeous and we liked the south beach pool area. The whole ship is decked out in mirrors and silver, very pretty. Shows were very good.

Small Casino, overwhelmed staff
Ship was nice. Staff seemed to be overworked. Casino was small and little variety of machines. Roulette tables were always packed. Most of the time people would take seats at tables not playing. Would have been better if casino staff would enforce players at table only. Honestly I’m disappointed in the casino, and regret this being my first ur comped cruise. Be careful if you go as future comps are based off play. The threshold for a comp with MSC is 9,999 points, which is attainable if you plan to just put money on machines to get points that you don’t want to play. But if you enjoy playing certain types, you may be in the 2k to 5k point range.

MSC meetup Cruise
First of all, let me just say the MSC Seaside is a beautiful ship! The atrium with the Swarovski Crystal staircases, and views of the ocean all around is stunning! For this particular cruise, we stayed on the 15th deck in an inside cabin. Closet space on MSC is really small. Not a lot of drawer space either. And the bathroom size is adequate for cruise ship standards. Casino is really small. Not a lot of variety for slot machines, but that’s just my opinion. No craps table either. All the staff in the casino are very friendly! The casino bar staff are amazing and check on you regularly. Food onboard is about the same as other cruise lines. But the Venchi Chocolate bar is delicious!! Best gelato and chocolate martinis!! Try it...you will thank me later! 😊 This was also a meetup cruise with our host Tyler! He was so nice and made sure he was around if anyone needed anything. Thanks Urcomped for a great trip!

My Seaside review
MSC does not do designated times check in so you have the zig zag line to wait in a couple of times. Took us a little over an hour to get all checked in and onboard. Did not want our picture taken before boarding but they would not allow us to just walk around it and made us do the picture. Later they sent them to our room with a folder that if you didn't want them you had to check the NO box and give back to room steward or they would charge you for them. We did check the NO box and gave back to our steward almost immediately but they still charged us. In order to put cash on your account you must visit the customer service desk, of course that line the first day and a half was much to long so I waited till later the first full day and it wasn't so bad. The room was ok, just as I expected as per other cruise lines however I think the bathroom was smaller and could have a better layout for more space. The lights only work with your card in the slot by the door, tried other kinds of cards and they would not work. No wash cloths so you will have to ask for them. No bar soap in the bathroom either just liquid soap. Using the liquid soap with washcloth doesn't really work very well so I bought a luffa at port. We ate at the MDR each night. I thought the food was very good but the presentation could have been better. Selections were good but I prefer having at least one new exotic thing to try each night which I did not see on the menu. The first night you had to find your table so the line was a little long but every night after you just walked to your table and sat down. I do not remember any sail away party, maybe I just missed it. I had to make about 7 trips to the customer service to get things straight. Linking your credit card was very easy at the kiosk. No on to the casino. The casino was smaller that I am used to. I don't play table games but did notice that there is no craps table and not a whole lot of other table games. I am a smoker when gambling. The smoking section is back side of the slot area, there is a sign designating this. Also, you are not allowed to smoke anywhere in the casino when the ship is in port. Ashtrays are very hard to find when you can smoke. A good deal of the machines you are able to change the denomination to whatever you like. There were alot of hand pays won for the size of this casino. I won a major worth $910.00. Another passenger won $11,500.00, another $4.500.00 and a lot of hand pays that were above $1,000.00. The casino closes every night at 2:00am. The drink servers were very good and quick. Of course on sea days the casino was very crowded so it was a little slower at this time. All of the casino staff was wonderful, I can't praise them enough. 9,999 points gets you a free inside for two, upgrade to OV was like $359 but since I didn't qualify for this I don't know the other amounts for sure. I think the fee to upgrade to balcony was over $1,100.00 We went to two different shows, the most popular was Starwalker (Michael Jackson), we reserved on our first night and ended up standing the whole show because they don't check when you enter whether or not you have reserved so the seating was not sufficient. Get there early to get your seat even if you reserved. I purchased the fun pass before hand for $100 and received $160 credit. Zip line was $10 each, 5D was $10 each, F! simulator was $10 each which seemed to be very popular most of the week. Air hockey and both racing games were $1.50 each. Any game that you could win a prize was not included in the fun pass so beware. There were 2 bowling lanes which we did not try. If there is anything you would like to know just ask and I will try to answer.

Enlightening Experence
Difficult to manage a handicapped person without an ADA room. Shower very small. Many doors required opening a handle as opposed to automatic opening so he could not get to many areas without help of some kind

Nice ship
Very nice ship. However the casino is very small. Only one three card poker table. No smoking at table at all. Was very hard to find a seat most nights. Staff was great host was good as well always made me feel welcome. Down side is it opens late and closes early everyday. Makes it hard to reach their ten thousand point mark. Table rating is way off. I’ve played open to close everyday on very few points row show. On the other line I sail I would of done had a comp balcony.

The Casino on MSC Seaside
The Ship was wonderful. The shows were the greatest. The Casino was big. The Pit Boss were great. Michael Velasco was the best. He offered me free drinks on the tables any time I wanted. I played numerous hours on the tables. Also on the slots. The one I spent the most time was Buffalo at $6.00 a pull. It was a great fun experience.

The ship was amazing and was very high-tech/modern. The casino was very small. Drinks were easy to get at any of the bars. Food was just ok. Not quite what we are used to and not up to the level of even Carnival’s food. Steakhouse was just ok as well. The pizza was very good and the Tepenyaki/hibachi restaurant was our go-to after being let down by the main dining room/steakhouse. You can only eat so much pizza though. It seemed as if they’re very new to the casino game. I was playing blackjack, two hands at a time/$50 hand and was asked to move so a $10/hand newbie could sit. I explained I didn’t want to move, but that wasn’t an option, I was made to move anyway. On another table, playing table max/$300, my wife wasn’t allowed to sit unless playing even though nobody was waiting to play and the table had several spots available. Towards the end of the cruise, several bars ran out of sprite.. the last night, I had to go to our own room and bring down sprite from our mini-bar so we could have a cocktail while playing. It was a vacation, nonetheless, so it was still fun. We read a lot of negative reviews on MSC before going and we tried to form our own opinions, but the majority of them turned out to be true when it comes to the food.

Great ship.
They whole ship to me was outstanding. The crew was great. Nothing beats the Yatch Club. I am already planning my next one!! The only downside was the casino was very limited on table games and no dollar slot machines.

Wonderful Trip
The ship was fantastic, enjoyed each of the specialty restaurants, the crew works very hard to satisfy and the shows were over the top! Went to the spa as we upgraded our comp balcony to a suite. The candle massage was heavenly and there was no hard sell afterwards. I was given a prescription for my next massage there, I thought that was cute. In the casino, the latest machines were available in the casino. Saw a couple good hits, none were mine. Mostly 1 & 2 cent machines. Maybe a couple 25cent machines but no dollars etc. needing 9,999 points for free cruise is quite high compared to other lines. Recognized the host from a different line and that was cool. Our suite was basically the same size as a balcony room, but we did have an end unit with an extended balcony which was nice, but next time I will take one not on the end, since the rooms next to mine were not extended and there was no wall, so when I turned to go back into my room, I was looking into the room next to mine. We had 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a foot rest/table on the balcony. In summary, it was a wonderful, fun and relaxing trip, with no stress, pressures or jackpots for me. I would definitely do it again!
