The casino is small compared to Carnival. The hosts however on the Adventure were very outgoing and approachable. The slots paid out some good hits. They had 4 Lightening machines and 3 Buffalo tower machines along with one 4 screen Buffalo where you get the wheel when you get the special. They also had 2 Mystical Mermaid machines which a lot ships don’t have anymore. Overall the ship was very nice and very clean.
The "casino" was also cramped, hot and understaffed. Only 1 out of the 3 roulette tables was open Wednesday & Thursday night. Odds on Black Jack no longer pay 3to2 it seems. There where 2 card tables closed also. I loved the ship. It was the biggest I had been on but was truly surprised how small the Casino is.
Adventure of the Seas is an engaging ship - not the largest, not the smallest. We received excellent service, and we had plenty to do. This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The ship is attractive, with interesting artwork and a design that mostly allows for a smooth flow of traffic. We enjoyed both production shows and two comedy shows on this 5-day cruise.
I really enjoyed the casino. The décor suggests a 30s/40s movie theater, and I thought it was a good size for the number of players aboard. I never had to wait more than a few minutes for a seat, mostly for three-card poker.
I rate my casino experience very high for this cruise. The supervisors did a very good job evaluating table play, which was unexpected. Even better, I played with an impressive number of proficient dealers who color up or down on payouts, know the payouts by heart, interact well with different types of people, and are engaging. Additionally, the hosts came and introduced themselves to me, which has only happened once before on 20 cruises.
I spent my career in the restaurant industry, and I appreciate being on the receiving end of great service and hospitality, particularly when it feels authentic. I was made to feel genuinely welcome here.
Great and relaxing cruise out of Galveston. The casino was busy every night but not over crowded. Prime benefits were nice - especially free drinks. Won two $1k+ Majors which I used to play back and build up my tier points. I was pleased with the payouts - very similar to my nearby land based casinos. They are lacking the newest machines and still had some really old ones in service. Was disappointed that the Casino hosts did not go out of their way to welcome their comp players - not even a welcome letter. The ship design is great and entertainment was very good.
We had a great trip on the Adventure of the Seas! This is an older ship but still in good shape. Casino is small and very crowded without designated non smoking area, making it very smokey during peak times!! Machines paid off pretty good at times, but like most casinos they were up and down. They seemed to payoff better the first of the cruise than they did the last part of the cruise. Overall, we had a great trip! Thank you UrComped!!
Beautiful Ship! Great Food! - However, casino was very poorly organized! No designated smoking area. The smoke was excessive almost unbearable. Slots were so close together you could not walk between machines! Worst casino I have ever seen! The payouts were average, nothing great!
Highly recommend this trip and ship. We had incredible from the food, to the staff, the temperatures. Best trip so far ever!!!! Thank you URComped and Tyler! Making my life hapoy
The ship was fantastic. We enjoyed the food, the casino and the activities. Shopping was limited compared to other cruise lines. Casino, had many options of slots, which paid out regularly. I myself won 100-400 multiple times. Table games are limited to blackjack, 3 card and Texas hold'em. They had carribean stud one night but it wasn't open after that. The had roulette too but the waves kept moving the ball around, kept bouncing around. Overall it was an amazing cruise and would definitely pick them again.
Truly enjoyed the ship and the Elvis impersonator and Horizon Now Motown group... BUT.... if you're a slot player.... STEER CLEAR... they have older machines and unless you play max they will never pay out a jackpot... Was on an 8 day and only had 2 hand pays.. and they were only $1400 and $2000... I will now check out and look for pictures on any future Royal ship I book in the future... Was disappointed in the casino and slot choices. Cabin location was perfect and we loved the Windjammer and Chops Steakhouse.. Only ate in the dining room once... wasn't impressed
I just returned from a 6 night Western Caribbean and an 8 night Eastern..the casino was horrible to me. I enjoyed it but was costly. Fortunately I managed a balcony certificate on both sailings. Team, the Casino Host manager was great. She would spend time chatting with us. The rest of the ship was great. Love the voyager class ship. Perfect size. Our waiter and assistant, Wilberto and Samuel were great. Very attentive and anticipated our needs.
The cruise was wonderful however the casino is small and there are some really old machines. Being its so small, machines or seats at the BJ table were full.
Saw one person win $100 on the claw machine which was all the excitement going on at one point.
Basically, very tight machines, a few tables and small casino.
