Absolutely the most horrible cruise you could ever consider!

Casino is always closed ! Only one true blackjack table.. Played for a few hours on a few days but every other time I visited casino it was closed ..

9am then was told will open at 10am then it was 11 am! Several days casino did not open until 7Pm ..

Just a total bust with the worst food I have ever experienced !

Food is horrible!

All chairs and pools closed at 6pm!

We had a ball on the Seaside! I played 4-6 hours a night! Staff was awesome! My cuz was celebrating her birthday and at midnight the casino manager  broke out a bucket with champagne and glasses for both tables our  group was playing at ! I would say all in all fabulous treatment from the casino! We would go again in a heartbeat!

Food was wonderful, staff was beyond VIP level for treatment and casino was ALWAYS open! Place was impeccably clean and modern. Don’t know when and what you sailed on, but I’m sure it wasn’t MSC seaside.

I sailed two weeks ago. It was wonderful. My cuz gambled until 3:00am many nights. The only time the Casino wasn’t open ,was as in all ships, in port. the food was average for cruise ships, but certainly not the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been cruising out of miami since the mid to late 60’s. First ship out of miami, the SSMiami. This was a gorgeous ship with all the amenities. Staff were lovely and ship was impeccably clean. Loved the non smoking tables in the Casino. Would go again in a minute.

Don’t believe you went!!! I’ve been on 60 cruises on carnival and MSC was the best cruise ship I have been on! Casino staff friendly. Shows super!

Ok, Yes I went on a comp cruise from urcomp . I prefer carnival and will continue carnival for the foreseeable future ! Casino opens at 11 am on this cruise and after 7pm after ports! Pools close at 8 am and hot Tubs the same. Buffet food indeed was horrible !

Instead of being ignorant assholes check my cruise and casino times 08/04/18 to 08/11/18

This is my review of my cruise and not downing staff as casino host in dead were amazing but other staff I have no say!

To me this was a bad experience but I am happy yours was better.

It seems my review is not alone outside of this post but thanks for your valuable imput

I'll just add my pros and cons:

I went on this ship about a month or so after they came to the US.

Pros:  ship is beautiful,  casino was open except when in port, Casino Host was amazing (he was the only one I can give a shout out to),  shows were probably the best I've seen for a cruise ship (I've cruised plenty).

Cons:  Food was just ok,  wait staff was terrible: they had unsalted imitation butter and we told them several times we don't eat it we like the regular salted butter which was on the table the first night.  Then they told us they didn't have anymore but the assistant always seemed to find 2 butters for us each night,  there was 7 of us.  Service was extremely slow!    I know maybe a little thing but I want to enjoy my food and that includes real butter.  I found the ship staff to be extremely rude!  never wanted to help us with anything.  Most cruises they step aside and let you walk past them or they help you, they go out of their way to acknowledge you, say hello.   not on this cruise!  Staff knocked into us, would cut between us bumping into us as if we were in their way. Specially if we were walking with a plate of food from buffet.   They wouldn't make eye contact or say hello.

Thanks for sharing your positive experiences.   Seems some of you had a much better experience than my family did.   I know they were new here in the US when we went.    Maybe I would give them a second chance, however I was so annoyed with service and the crew I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.  Maybe they've ironed out the kinks.

I sailed on the MSC Seaside in June via URCOMPED. I had a fabulous time.  The food was outstanding and the service was awesome.  The cruise on MSC was 100 times better when compared to my last cruise on the NCL Pearl.  Wide range of choices on the buffet (even multiple international dish choices...i got to try cuisine that I never had before!),  food and service in MDR was fantastic, crew was helpful and polite, room steward kept our cabin spotless, our ice bucket full, and made a point of checking with us daily for any additional needs or request.  Casino was open to 2 or 3 AM each night depending on the number of people still playing.  It was only closed when in port (as is the case with all cruise lines) but always opened up within an hour after leaving port.  Looking forward to booking my bounce back and sailing on the Seaside again!

I am in the beginning stages of planning on MSC Seaside. Thanks everyone for the honest and very helpful reviews. I do believe that more folks then not had a wonderful time with just minor glitches here or there. That's always to be expected. I always just roll with the bad cause I know the good is just around the corner. I can't wait to take the cruise . Hope to see and meet a few of you!
