My husband loves this place. I think it is mediocre, overpriced, and slow service even though the restaurant is never even half full.

Cactus Creek Southwestern Steakhouse

Cactus Creek Prime Steakhouse Pros Location Parking A clear effort has been put into the quality of their beef and their wine selection. USDA Prime Beef advertised as "Only two percent of American beef is outstanding enough to earn the coveted USDA Prime rating. All of our beef is eastern corn fed, graded USDA Prime and aged a full 28 days to ensure maximum flavor and tenderness." USDA Prime Rib advertised as "Our Prime Rib is seasoned with a mixture of freshly ground House Seasonings and Spices and is slow roasted for up to 14 hours to seal in all of the flavor and natural juices. It is the finest, all natural USDA Prime beef." Open Wednesday through Sunday, 5:00 PM - Close Reservations recommended Cactus Creek Prime Steakhouse Cons Second-hand cigarette smoke filled restaurant. Which is an overwhelming negative for non-smokers and elderly such as myself as smell and taste are always compromised by cigarette smoke. All that clear effort they put into the quality of their beef and their wine selection only to have it all disappear in a room of second-hand cigarette smoke. A deadened sense of smell and taste are well-documented with secondhand cigarette smoke exposure, as is shortness of breath to an elderly and disabled person such as myself. If it wasn't for the second-hand cigarette smoke, I'd give it 5 stars for, Woohoo! As good as it gets.

Cactus Creek Southwestern Steakhouse

We bused our own unused wine glasses. Got our salads after waiting 55 minutes and then looked at dirty salad plates for 10 minutes. Then another 20 minutes for entrees to arrive. Another 30 minutes to settle the bill, despite asking for the check with entrees. A full two hours for an uninspired salad and a steak? Really? It is beyond belief that any real customer has left a favorable review. Finally it is worth mentioning the strong odor of cigarette smoke--a clear violation of NCIAA. Not recommended.

Cactus Creek Southwestern Steakhouse

We were celebrating a birthday. First the drinks were weak. I ordered a sirloin medium well. My boyfriend ordered a filet medium rare. They got it backwards with no offers to fix it-just a free dessert. We opted for carrot cake. We got one carrot cake & one chocolate cake because they were out!!!. Also the sauteed mushrooms didn't have much flavor. When you spend a lot of money for a dinner you want it to be right and it sure wasn't!!!! I don't think we'll go back!!

Cactus Creek Southwestern Steakhouse

Waited forever for hostess who had an attitude and lied that there was a 45 minute wait to get a table on a slow day with the place 3/4 empty. I could wait at the bar of course. I don't drink and walked out hungry and angry. Glad I saved my money.
