Boomtown is having a great come back! And with the updated pet policy, we are sure to stay here in our next trips to Reno, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe trips! Our mini poodle enjoyed her trip with us, and her stayed at Best Western Plus Boomtown Hotel and Casino!
Update: As I said before, Boomtown is having a great come back! This time we saw a lots of more families, including their furry babies, enjoying their stay at Boomtown, so our furry baby had the opportunity to say hi to several of them, both at the outdoors and in some of the Casino,and at the Fun Center's areas. Therefore we were super excited and thankful for the great hospitality at this location. On top of that, several of the employees, valet parking, housekeeping ladies, and Fun Center's ones, went behind and beyond to make us feel really well.

This is my Hangout! I love the fact that there's a KOA right here. I love the promotions they run. I like the free bingo and there's always some kind of game going on that you can play everyday. And the slots have been very generous to me. I'm glad it's kind of a quieter place and that it doesn't suffer from the congestion and everything that goes on downtown. This is basically the only place I go anymore.

Ate at the buffet. A lot of the food was cold and unseasoned. The desserts were very good and I liked the chef special soup and the veggies. My server Corey was fantastic. She was very pleasant. You pay going in which is hard for tipping but I went back up to give the tip for Corey because she deserved it. She saved the whole night.

Seems like a decent place to stay. The staff wasn't very well informed about their own booking procedures. Good luck! I'd consider staying again but i wouldn't book through the hotel.

The casino has a strong smell of smoke - you will be around the smoke when checking in and on your way to your room or if you want to leave your room. The indoor heated pool was not heated and the temperature on the pool deck required you to wear a winter jacket indoors. In the room, there were divots or indentations in the floor by the bed - almost cause all guests to trip and fall. The beds were very soft and we rolled to the middle of the beds. The fun center rides were not functioning and the waits for dinner were very long. I do not recommend and I will not be back.

I always enjoy Boomtown! The service is always outstanding. Check in is fast, staff are helpful and friendly. Steakhouse is excellent quality and the staff are really professional and nice. I like the small casino vibe, live music is a nice touch. Rooms are very comfortable and affordable.

I called and reserved my room and my brothers room. The receptionist was super helpful and kind. When we arrived we were quickly registered then we were greeted by the Bell pops and they promptly took our luggage to our rooms. They were awesome. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a great time. Thank you Best Western in Boomtown.

We stayed at the Best Western Boomtown in Reno, NV for 3 nights because we were meeting up with family for a baseball tournament in town. The prices of the rooms were reasonable and the room was comfortable. The sheets and pillows were AMAZING to me !!!!! I slept really well there. My only complaint would be figuring out the mini fridge controls AND I wish we had received a room closer to the elevators. Our room was on the 5th floor ALL THE WAY at the very end of the hallway. When they say LAST ROOM ON THE LEFT, that's what we had !!! Past maybe 30 other rooms !!! But we still enjoyed our time at this hotel even though we didn't utilize ALL that it had. I'd go back again !

Booked far in advance but upon arrival the girl said they were “all booked up” for the weekend (I arrived on a Thursday) so I’d have to get a handicap accessible room. Thought that meant it would be a big room, but not the case. We are next to a loud elevator, window looks out onto the indoor pool with screaming kids. Who brings kids to casinos? Rude. Also the floors and walls are paper thin I could hear the elephant ballet upstairs at 6am every day, not to mention the shaking of the walls every time elephant family flushed the toilet. The shower faucet requires hulk super strength to turn on and sounds like you’re opening the Hoover dam. Not sure why I even bothered booking in advance because I got the shittiest room in all of Boomtown anyway !
Guess I would’ve got a better room if I was I was a casino reward member or an Asian tourist. Seems like they only care about the quality of your stay if you have a proven record of pumping money into their slots. Boomtown is a bust.
Oh yea, and the sheets were dirty even after we requested housekeeping to change the linens. Plus blood smeared across the bathtub. Why.
They actually offer their “high quality” linens for purchase, LOLOL NO THX.
On the bright side, I can’t wait to go back to work on Monday.

Rooms are small and unclean. Sheets are dirty and ac has a smell that stinks.Trash in the halls.Casino will take your money. No one wins anything. 100 spins and you get 5 maybe 10. You will see. I've been here several times and to see if you can win here. I had 1400.00 in offers in a mailer but when I got here they were non existant. Appears to be a scam. Steakhouse is awesome. Great food.
