This review is for the staff from last year. I Was having an issue with my bank and wasn't going to be able to get a room anywhere as most require cards nowadays however the manager came out and did everything they could to help us and make us feel welcomed .. Although we didn't end up staying i'm going to make this my go to destination for my future trips to CC . Thank you!

Hmm, max casino is really up and down honestly... Sometimes i will go in and gamble and get treated really good and experience great customer service!! And other times ill be gambling and not a single cocktail waitress will come by! There is no longer any table games located on site, there is a hotel on site and a pretty good rewards program!

I travel to Carson City for business a couple of times per year and only stay at Wyndham Garden. The location is ideal, right near downtown Carson which has seen some very nice renovations. A few perks to staying here are vouchers upon check in for one complimentary well drink and your choice of free oatmeal, free biscuits and gravy, or 15% off breakfast at the Black Bear Diner located on the ground floor.

I had a great experience at Wyndham Garden Carson City. We booked two rooms for overnight stay. The check in process was easy and smooth. The rooms were clean and decent. The complimentary breakfast had only two options. Oatmeal and biscuits and gravy. Rest of the breakfast was charged. That was a bit disappointing. But the people on the front desk were helpful and polite and friendly.

It's a typical micro casino. If you are going to try and win some money there, you might be disappointed. I stayed for two days (Fri &sat) I didn't see anyone winning. Nice atmosphere for watching sports , although they had the super screen on soccer?? The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. There room has a balcony, but I was facing the street, so it was kind of noisy to leave it open. They give you a free breakfast and a free drink with each night. You can redeem your free breakfast at the black bear cafe (in the casino) good food great service. This place might deserve better than three stars, but it just doesn't rate four stars..

Despite it being an old hotel it actually has pretty nice rooms. Not much in the line of parking but we managed...nice place.

I just stayed here for a family reunion. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The room is spacious for hotel room and has a microwave, larger size refrigerator, one cup coffee/tea maker and stocked upon arrival with 2 bottles of water. A plus for myself, big screen TV with movies. The bathroom was stocked with a good selection of amenities, including a grooming kit with a small emery board. The shower / bath combo had a nice shower head that was decent pressure, a side note that the hot water would fluctuate in degrees. The Hotel is down town and walking distance the Capital Building. The Black Bear Diner is a wonderful comfort food restaurant and had many choices from hearty home-style cooking to gluten free and vegetarian. Upon arrival the front desk was having issues with the key machine and had to escort each person to the room to open the door. Every person who let us into our room was friendly and nice. All staff was gracious and accommodating and demonstrated hospitality charm. Will stay again and recommend to other travelers.

This is my favorite hotel in the Carson City area. The rooms are outstanding and the price is extremely reasonable. There are rooms with balconies available. The rooms are spacious and also have a refrigerator and microwave, a large flat screen television with Direct TV (not just the standard 6 channels, with 4 of them being hotel/information channels as is customary in casino hotels.) They are also extremely clean. The hotel is located within a 5 to 7 minute (probably less) walk of the state capital. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance.
The staff are outstanding, respectful and go above and beyond. I recommend staying here if you come to Carson City for anything, personal travel, business, staycation, or to escape the kids for a night.
And the Black Bear Diner has DELISCOUS pancakes. Try the pineapple upside down pancakes, enjoy them because they are freaking fantastic and then run around the capital 153 times...that is how many laps it takes (give or take a few) for the sugar high to wear off. However, once you've consumed these pancakes, you'll soon realize why they are totally worth the hundreds of laps one might spend running around the capital.

This hotel is pretty nice. The room was nice and fairly quiet except for all the cars going by. The black bear diner had great food and service. I'd give it more stars if the casino had new machines because I'd have to say about 90 percent if the machines are really old.

Played at the casino part. Quiet night. Easy to get on a machine. My only gripe is that there was no cocktail waitress. Otherwise fun!
