The beds were decently comfortable and the place was clean. That's the minimum standard I look for in a hotel. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about this place. From minor problems to major: - the whole place is outdated. Take a step back 15 years to the early 2000s with lamp switches that hurt your fingers and are near impossible to find in the dark. Not important to me but the decor was ugly as hell too. - the balcony does not lock. If you ever stay here take all belongings with you and don't leave any in your room just in case. The latch doesn't close and the bolt they have installed doesn't reach. - Everything is loud. The floor creaks with every other step, the hinges of all the doors are beyond squeaky, and the sliding door sounds like a scream of a terrified person down a tunnel. - If you are a light sleeper or can't handle noise do not stay here. You wont get much sleep and your next day will be ruined. The reason the above statement is bad even if you're alone is that the rooms have almost no sound insulation. Your neighbor gets up to go to the bathroom? You're going to hear it. Someone sneezes next door? You heard that too. Neighbor goes to the balcony for a early morning cigarette? Hope you weren't trying to sleep in. The only good thing is the sound of traffic is so consistent it sort of acts like a white noise. *Edit* The showers water pressure was amazing. I would drop this below a star if I could though. I had to clean the shower before I could use it. It was dirty and the previous guests used soap was still in the holder.

Person at the front desk was very friendly, he made check in quick and smooth. The check in area is right in the casino so it is super smoky for any non-smokers. Hotel is VERY dated, rooms were fairly clean but I didn’t want to take off my shoes, the carpet was pretty gross. Bathroom was soooo tiny, you have to maneuver around the door. You can hear everything next door, complete conversations so be aware. Black bear diner breakfast was below par, hash browns were barely cooked and eggs were still raw.

We definitely recommend this hotel. Staff is very friendly and the housekeepers go the extra mile! The Black Bear restaurant is awesome and they even deliver to your room. The casino part is wonderful as well and the bartenders are the best. We are definitely staying again when we come back!

Was just there for the night. Didn't gamble. The room was very nice. The woman at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Hands down the nicest of the Wyndham chain I've been to, which has mainly been Super 8s and Days Inn.

Pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Rooms and customer service are very nice. Perfect for my work trip. Convenient to have Black Bear Diner available in the hotel, especially for breakfast.

The hotel room was nice and offered everything we needed. The staff was pleasant as was the overall experience. However, my one negative is that I came from a state where smoking is illegal indoors. It was a huge shock to walk in to find all the guest smoking in the main lobby/casino. For someone with asthma it would have been important to know that before we made our reservations.

Quaint snow lodge atmosphere. Rooms were very clean and about what you would expect. Food in the Black Bear Cafe was good, with the small pies being the treat of the meal. Location in Carson City was great. Walking distance to restaurants, casinos and bars. 25 minutes to Lake Tahoe and Reno.

Give me very good the only thing good about this places that they will allow dogs. That it is a Wyndham is frightening. I guess their standards have dipped way down. Old tired and ugly. The casino is just plain sad. The place across the street, the Plaza, looks pretty good by comparison.

Hmm, max casino is really up and down honestly... Sometimes i will go in and gamble and get treated really good and experience great customer service!! And other times ill be gambling and not a single cocktail waitress will come by! There is no longer any table games located on site, there is a hotel on site and a pretty good rewards program!
