Such a welcoming attractive resort! The rooms are lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone on staff is so friendly and accommodating some of the best customer service I have experienced!

We our company been staying at the Carson vally inn..it is a pleasure rooms our great affordable. The food is some of the best ever and yes the bar live music gambling must must stay .Rib eye perfect.o and try the pool hot tub I feel iam on vacation

The Carson Valley Inn is a smaller venue as expected for a smaller town. But they do a great job of having bigger name talent perform there. They also have more than 1 food venue to choose from, making the choice to visit this historic town of Minden an easy choice. The Inn's proximity to Tahoe, Carson, Genoa or Reno can make this a great alternative to staying at some of the larger towns' casino hotels, especially if a slower-paced atmosphere is more to your liking. I don't know if I would necessarily recommend this venue in the winter for a Tahoe ski trip, as you would have to navigate one of 2 mountain road passes to get into Tahoe. But other times of the year make Minden a fantastic alternative to stay and take day trips to other towns.

My wife and I needed a break from the hustle of our very busy life, so we decided to try Carson Valley Inn and we had a lot of fun. We got a Deluxe Suite and the room was so clean and beautiful that alone was refreshing. Everything worked in the room and bathroom. The pool and jacuzzis were so much fun to go to and just relax with a beautiful view. Katie's the restaurant has awesome food, and you better have an appetite cause the meal are big and filling. There was a live band playing music and they were very good fun to sit listen too. We left wishing we had longer to stay...

Went up the NE aspect, beautiful hike! Plan on a 6.5 hr hike up from the base in dg feilds most of the way. Go down the way you came up for a quick decent thats easy on the knees and no cliffs that route. Enjoy!

Good view of Carson Valley from the top. It's a good hike from Freel trailhead to top but if doing the loop go clockwise.
