I want to give it five stars. I really do, but I'm trying to be honest. This is one of my favorite casinos in the United states. The reason I only give it four stars, is because of the hotel rooms. They're a little wonky and outdated. I feel like they haven't been renovated since the '80s. I thought it was a newer Casino, but according to the rooms I guess not. Everything else is exceptional. The casino is a good size for a Small Town Casino, the restaurants are great, they have a really good Buffet but we didn't go because of the reviews, and they have a lot of little food walk up options. The prices remind me of old Vegas when you could get a hot dog for 50 cents. The comps are pretty decent. I really just love this casino. They have a really nice pool that the kids love with a little slide that comes across a little mountain thing. We were really disappointed that the pool closed at five when check-in was at 4:00. I really didn't have too many complaints about anything other than the pool thing and the room was clean and the amenities in the room were nice but it just was not that of luxury like it looks from the outside.

Positive lively atmosphere and live music. Slots aren’t any looser than any other place in mesquite. All mesquite gaming is tight

We love to go up on a Saturday for the steak and crab buffet. The food is always good and the servers are very attentive. They have a show that requires tickets and a free show that was really rockin. We had a great time.

Family in law and I went to the buffet and it was excellent! Lots of food variety while also maintaining some sort of "theme". Definitely planning on coming back.

This is the second and probably last time I will stop here. For an older Casino it has a nice selection of games and is pretty clean inside. Table games are very popular here. Most the servers had a stand offish attitude, like if you ask them anything you were bothering them, especially if you were not in there section. There was one server, a redhead named Ann, who was phenomenal. Very friendly, very professional, excellent customer service who never let my drink be empty for too long. My biggest problem here was the overall vibe. No one was winning. there was no excitement in the air. I never expect to win but it be nice if you had a little success. I went through several hundred dollars and nothing was clicking. If you are a truck driver, there is no parking on their lot. But there are a couple wide streets just north of the facility where you can park your truck and walk over to the casino.

Katherine's is one of three places to eat at the Casablanca Casino and Hotel. It is their fine dining steak house (the others are their Cafe and their Buffet). Their menu offers seafood, pastas and, of course, steaks. Four of us attended. First, the switchboard took my reservation, who managed to lose it. However, the assistant manager provided excellent customer service and immediately seated us, even though it was a busy Saturday. Once seated, the service was on a par to any fine dining...excellent. The ambience is intimate and comfortable bordering on tight, but it was crowded. The food, however, was inconsistent. Everything was ala carte with sides being $7 each. Our guests both had the Veal Parmesan and enjoyed it well enough. My husband had the prime rib that was cooked exactly as he ordered and proclaimed it to be the BEST prime he ever had. It was certainly the largest one he ever had coming in at least a pound and a half. His sides of baked potato and broccoli were unexceptional. I had prime the night before at Gregory's (the Steakhouse at the Eureka Casino, which was much preferred by all) and opted for the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. It was completely unimpressive with a broken Alfredo sauce and gummy pasta. Our bill without alcohol or tip was over $175. I gave Katherine's three stars based on what is available in Mesquite (in Vegas it would be a 2). If you want prime or steak, it is doable, but all of my party gave the service 5 stars (thank you Raul and your assistant), the ambiance 3 stars (we like the comfortable and intimate feel with sufficient lighting, but felt dated) and the food a 3 (mediocre at best except for the prime rib). Bon Appetit!

Nice place, good service. The filet tasted kind of like that old bull flavor... other than that fine.
