I made my 1st call through the application and the call center closed it without notifying me. When I called the center 20 minutes after the call was closed, to receive clarification, they argued that I was made aware. Once I brought the Call Center Agent to see how flawed the rationality and notification process was my needs began to be addressed appropriatly and the agent became helpful.

READ THIS BEFORE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A MEMBERSHIP Apologies for the long text, but I just want everyone to see the whole story. In the morning I had my car towed from Barrie to Mississauga for my car to be tuned. The car is lowered so I kept the front bumper off to help with not scraping, plus easier access for us if something is wrong with the parts that were installed in there. The guy comes and jokes about how low it is and we just talk about his story and how he’s been in the business for over 30 years and once owned his own towing company, so I know he’s good. No problems here. Gets it on the truck now problem and off without even getting close to touching the front end on the ground or the truck. After the tune is done the car is up and running, but I obviously don’t want to drive it all the way up to Barrie with no front bumper, so a request a tow. Tow truck drive gets there and starts taking pictures of the front end, and says “give me 2 minutes, I just have to call dispatch.” Here we go, I could just tell he wanted nothing to do with it. Seriously, it is there job to tow vehicles and they still don’t want the work. A few minutes go by and go to his truck. He gets out puts it on speaker phone and I hear the last part with the guy saying “Yes, that’s not road legal” and the driver says “thank you” and hangs up. I ask “How is it not road legal?!” He shakes his head, doesn’t say anything, and drives off as fast as he can. How do I know that the guy on the phone wasn’t one of his friends just saying that to get him out of towing?! I didn’t even see the number or talk to the guy on the phone! What do I do? Call for another truck and complain what just happened. The guy who I was on the phone with now said he “Had to look into it.” He wanted to see what the drivers notes where but couldn’t find them. So, he had to call dispatch to see what happened. After waiting a few minutes, he got back on the line and said my car wasn’t road legal because it doesn’t have plates. I said it does on the back, but the driver never checked there. After going back and fourth for 20 minutes. He first said that they would send a tow truck after talking to his supervisor, but then put me on hold again because his supervisor wanted to talk with him again. After that he said they couldn’t tow it. He then gets the supervisor, who I had to wait for another 5 minutes to talk to. The supervisor now pulls this s**t out of his a** that they can’t tow it because it is considered a “Transportation tow” meaning that because I want a tow to my house and not a shop, they cannot do it. He’s not budging at all to help me, so after 30 minutes on the phone I had enough. He said I could purchase my own tow to get home and that CAA may reimburse me for it (probably not). He then said “I hope your day gets better from now on” where I replied “I thought that was your job to make happen” and hung up. Luckily, the gentleman who towed it for me in the morning gave me his number and said he would tow it back. I only didn’t want him to tow it because it would have been the next day in the morning, and I didn’t really want to leave my car there over night but had to anyway. Luckily, the gentleman towed it for me the next day. So, what’s the moral of this story? 1. Very few drivers want to do their job 2. If your tow is more than around town, good luck 3. If your car is lowered, good luck 4. Licence plate (AR 84827) is a horrible person, and should find a different job 5. Finally, if you want a tow home, forget about it

So my wife had to call CAA for a flat tire. Since the flat was on the front and it being a front wheel drive vehicle I told her to make sure the spare gets mounted on the back and one of the rears on the front. They told her that "CAA doesn't pay me enough to swap tires".

1.5 hours on hold. Then gave up after they said you can also use their web page or app to request service. Web site is not working and app is useless. Guys I know you're busy but you need to manage expectations better. Really disappointed. Times like this are why I have CAA. It's no good to me if you don't even answer the phone.

I have had several boost before cold spell. The battery I bought from CAA was no good. They will not give me a new battery until the cold spell is over. Which I have a warranty for. The supervisor said that I am lucky that I live in the city and that I can take other means of transportation. So for the next 6 days if I need to drive my car I will need a boost which would eat up my last bit of service calls. CAA told that me if I get a new battery it might not work in this cold.... We are paying for a service. I understand they are busy and I have no problem with waiting for my number to come up for help. But 6 days to get a battery through them is ridiculous.

The CAA team went above and beyond when my 6-year-old daughter and I were stranded in a Walmart parking lot after my 4-month-pregnant "mama-brain" locked the keys in the trunk and the trunk release was jammed. They set me up with a Membership over the phone (at a discount because I was short the amount in my account) and sent someone out to me right away. They told me if the tow-truck driver couldnt get into the trunk, they could tow me home and send a locksmith in the morning (double whammy at no extra cost)! The tow-truck driver was knowledgeable and very very friendly. He managed to fish my keys out of the trunk so that we didnt have to tow. For the same cost as a locksmith breaking into the trunk, we are now covered for the rest of the year in case my "mama-brain" decides to act up again. Thank you CAA for making this super-stressful situation a breeze to deal with.

Their website for travel booking is useless. Try and get help by phone, they couldn't care less with your issues.

To keep CAA as an option is great but whenever the guy who come to help is always pissed off on something. Don't help me with an attitude while I already paid.
