I loved our stay. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. Sad that the old Vegas is gone. I spoke to staff that have been working there for 45 years. Anyways we had a great time. Enjoyed the pool and the room was surprisingly quite. Our room was clean and everything worked fine. No complaints. Most casinos now seem cold and office like but not the Riviera. Yes outdated decor but got a glimpse of old Vegas and how it used to be.
Why show a so called historic hotel and casino online when it has been recorded to have closed and be demolished in the Spring of 2015?. Check Wikapedia.
This is where I stayed when I was in Vegas(July 2014). My room was awesome, the view, the service was awesome. Had a little mix up with my reservation but that was handled as quickly as possible. I didn't have to pay for anything/want for nothing. I miss it.
I saw it right before they closed permanently and the experience was rather mediocre. There wasn't much happening in the way of gaming going on. The staff were friendly to me. If they had been located on Fremont Street they would have probably stayed open, as they had that old time feel, but given the competition of always reinventing that happens on the main strip, they were decades behind and doomed to close. Their location made them an island and the new developments never finished in time to fix that.
