This place is phenomenal! There's a reason people wait in line to get in. Great for brunch and lunch. Come expecting a wait to get into the door, well worth it though. Their spicy brownie and fresh squeezed mimosas are some of our favorites.

The Root Cafe is a special place. Its locally sourced produce and wide variety of vegetarian, vegan and other healthy food choices makes it a real rarity and a special treat.
The atmosphere is a combination of old hippy, young hipster and just plain folks. Indoor and outdoor tables are available and the staff was universally upbeat and helpful.
All this comes at a price. The food is fresh, tasty, well prepared and personally delivered to your table. It is not inexpensive; but it is worth it.
Make the short trip to SoMa and make The Root the centerpiece of your visit. You'll be glad you did!

Visiting from out of town. Great lunch experience. Delicious! Dog friendly. Had a Bloody Mary and a lemonade lavender spritzer to start. Both were very fresh and tasty. My boyfriend and I had the burger, fries, and the curry chicken salad sandwich. Everything was fantastic! Best meal we have had since being in Arkansas.

This eclectic neighborhood cafe offers something for everyone. They offer 100% locally sourced dishes with vegetarian and vegan friendly options on a rotating menu. Outside puppy dog friendly seating available. If u are in a rush there is also a walk up take out window! Highly recommend the vegetarian banh mi!

They locally source food from individuals as well as businesses which means the menu stays fresh and changes depending on the growing seasons.
The soups, (be it eggplant, cauliflower, or tomato) are always delicious.
This is a popular lunch place for those working downtown so come early or be prepared to take your time. You'll love the ambiance, cloth napkins, and glass bottles.
Dinner is the best! Split a bunch of appetizers between friends such as the deviled eggs or pea hummus.
Very vegan, vegetarian, and kid friendly!!

This is the best place in Little Rock, hands down. I ordered a Vegan Banh Mi today to-go today, one of my favorite sandwiches. I just had to wait a bit longer for my food to be prepared, small mistake on the kitchen side, but they were overly completely gracious and even gave me a specialty lemonade and not one but 2 free desserts to make up for the time. So gracious- they definitely know how to make a repeat customer for sure!

This is my favorite place to eat in Little Rock. Menu is constantly changing and every entree I've ordered there has been exceptional. The environment is amazing as well and they have a cute patio. They use mostly locally sourced foods. Would highly recommend.

Just passing through town and decided to hit this place for coffee and WiFi and ended up having two meals. Both meals were excellent and superbly fresh. The atmosphere was super fun and creative. If I ever come back through Little Rock I’ll come to the Root for sure!

Wow! Just wow! Had the most delicious omelet and biscuit with gravy with my BFF- I had the fresh squeezed OJ and she had the cardamom iced coffee! Funky little joint with amazing service and delicious, locally sourced food. Do yourself a favor and just go! (Expect it to be busy- and know it is worth the wait!)
