Bahia Principe Jamaica
We stayed in July 2018 and this was our second stay. We went back because we had such a great time the first trip.
The food is usually good. The beach is excellent - so is the pools. Plenty of activities for the kids with the kids club. The kid club workers are excellent.
The new water park for the kids is also good.
But beware, there are some ladies in the lobby area who harassed us daily to attend some tour around the property to see us some timeshare we did not want. The fact that we said no day one did not stop the harassment. Too much for me while I’m on vacation.
Also, if you need more towels in your room as we did, be prepared to wait until the following day to get them. Then, go through that again the next day.
Overall, the price is good and the people are nice and friendly and helpful( outside of housekeeping and the harassment) the food is good, activities are fun. The beach and pool are great. Fun times to be had.

Myself, my husband and 5 of my friends stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay resort for my honeymoon 7/17/18-7/21/18. The entire experience was amazing from beginning to end! Kyle at the front desk greeting us with open arms! Our butler Jeffrey was kind, efficient and friendly! The entire staff was wonderful and we had an amazing time! Hands down the best vacation I’ve ever been on and we’re already planning our next visit for 2019!! Thank you ALL for making our honeymoon one for the books!! -Brian and Britney Jones

Super nice, definitely upgrade to Luxury side worth the extra $$. Bulter service is a hit or miss. House keeping didn't come the first two days, till we complained. After perfect. We stick to the second adults only pool because the first had crazy amount of drinkers but we knew what we signed up for. It was a beautiful place and an awesome vacation!!

I would not recommend coming to this hotel. The buildings are literally falling apart. Our bathroom shower was breaking and falling apart, there is dirty black "grime" in cracks that are just painted over, staff consistently offers you weed. If you want an ocean front room- don't do it. They have a beach party on the weekends as an event that goes until midnight. Very loud music so you cannot sleep. If you are here for a relaxing time, don't get a beach front room. The positives are the pool bars- the bartenders are great. The pool, not so much. And the Spa- the women working there were great.

Great facilities and wonderful views with lots of spots to relax. Friendly staff and very clean rooms. The food is average to great as some restaurants are less than others but enough choices to please. Great bars with premium drinks but the adult beverages in your room is limited to a half pint of vodka, a half pint of local rum and a couple beers but the real downer about this is they don't do daily restocking of the vodka or rum with a smile as advertised. I recommend this hotel to all because it is a nice resort.

we arrived and didn't have a room, but they fixed that issue fast, however room service was terrible, they didn't leave wash rags, had to call daily for coffee and refrigerator to be stocked, laundry service took 2 days to return your items, again you had to call. we had 13 people staying in 6 different rooms and the ac units in half the rooms only worked half the time, we called but didn't do any good. also there were stairs everywhere, elevators didn't work some of the time so be prepared for stairs. pool opens at 8:00 am but closes at 6:00 pm, and the pool bar closes at 5:30 pm. the other bars open at 10:00 am and close at 12:pm one is open until 2:00 am it is the sports bar in the village, but you had to go across the hotel walk up stairs again. food was good buffet served a good variety. ALL of the staff were the best of the whole experience and is why we go back to Jamaica. the beach was sandy but rocky. the entertainment was good, remember to request the big bamboo song!! no room service unless you pay extra when you book, its the black band or VIP. if you want to get out and see things contact Flash Gordon tours he is very reasonable and very friendly, took my brothers and I by his own house after a day of bottom fishing, he cooked us a great meal and we purchased beers at there little store they own. what a great family they have. visit the reggae bar in Ocho Rios for some great Marley music. have a great time when you go, but venture out and see the real Jamaica , you will LOVE IT

This resort was amazing!! My wife & I stayed there for 7 days/6 nights. The staff were always energetic & fun. The daily activities are a plus,and the nightlife performances were amazing to watch!! The Luxury (Adults Only) side is def worth it if you are wanting some alone time with your spouse. Although they have activities during the day at the pool area you can still opt out & find a place to relax.
The restaurants were great BUT the experience to book reservations throughout the week could have been better. With so many activities going on it was pretty difficult to choose the times they had available. So we found ourselves going to the buffet (only two to choose from) Still great food & service,but I would like to have experienced them all.
Overall GREAT place to stay. Will most definitely be back!!!

Customer service is first class. Everyone is friendly and warm. The food is wonderful and they understand the real meaning of all you can eat. The rooms are nice and spacious and restocked daily with essentials. When going here all you need to bring is clothes and an empty stomach.

It was an overall good experience. Think the bar need for beverage options and the quality of the bar drinks need improvement, however it was okay none the less. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the food and the restaurants. Not a lot of beach activities at the Luxury Bahia, however you can walk over to the family side Grand Bahia if you need water activities. Very good Hotel, relaxed and reserve. I would recommend this hotel.

My family and I loved our trip experience. I believe anyone who decides to enjoy their trip will only note the greatness of this resort. Sure there were a few minor weaknesses, yet the last I checked, there are always a few weak links no matter where you travel - including your local grocery store down the street from you. Overall, the food, the beach, the kids club, the entertainment and the variety of activities are all quite great! I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe & enjoyful vacation setting; suitable for all ages/group types/individuals. Truly, there are far too many options & activities available for anyone, to not be able, to create their own interpretation of a FUN & memorable time!
