Owner of the home I rented in Destiny by the Sea had cameras on front and back porches watched us entire visit and had real estate company that rented us the property approach us about anything they did not like. Plus dead insects everywhere on the first floor upon check in.

Amazing over all but don’t assume all the homes are the same. Make sure to read the reviews of the homes you rent. The first one as way different in person. The last one we rented was great with everything you see you get. But most importantly the location is great bc in the busy seasons the traffic in Destin is terrible so you can get everything you need within a few minutes walk

We loved Destiny by the Sea and are looking forward to visiting again next summer! The beach, pool, and roads are well cared for and monitored. The specific HOA rules were buried in our rental agreement paperwork, and although we wish we would have found out about some of those before arriving (no tents on the beach AT ALL, not even for babies), we had an excellent visit.

We recently stayed at a home in Destiny By the Seas gated neighborhood and found it to be the nicest spot we have ever stayed in Destin. We loved the easy beach access without having to cross a busy street. There was some posts I had read about over zealous security guards, but we had no issues during our stay. The properties are well maintained and they truly have a private beach; we had a group of 6 adults and 5 children and had plenty of room to spread out on the beach with no worries about someone setting up in front or behind us. Great spot!

If you’re under the age of 30: beware. The RealJoy rental company rented to us knowing we were young adults yet the home owners association (HOA) was looking for ANY possible reason to evict us so they could pocket the cash even though we paid close to $1000 in under 25 fees on top of the rental fees for week. The night guard is completely unreasonable. Towels drying on chairs? We received a warning. Quiet hours aren’t actually 10pm, that’s more like a bed time. We had a few people eating dinner on the porch at 8:30pm and were promptly yelled at. However, the house across the street was able to have people over at 11:30 pm and shouted profanity at us and had their car alarm going off for 15+ minutes. We were at the beach most of the day yet as soon as we get back in the house we get suddenly have “complaints.” Not to mention, there was construction at 8 am on Monday, blocking us into the driveway across the street. There were 14 people staying in a 14 person house (which did not sleep 14 people comfortable whatsoever but that’s another story) and we were never all outside at the same time yet still were threatened with eviction and fines every single day.

We loved staying in Destiny by the Sea for the month of February. The people were awesome,friendly and we even had our Superbpwl party there. Noise should be limited after a certain time. The beach is beautiful. At night if we forgot to set out our trash can, it was set out. Gated. Jon the day and night watchman was awesome.Patrolled neighborhood day and night. He stopped and talked as he patrolled the neighborhood,day and night,always with a smile. He was never rude or rough and had a great sense of humor. Told us where to park if we needed extra parking.He remembered us after the first time in and always waved and offered suggestions. If you stay there tell JON hey from the Singletaries from La. who drove black Ford truck. Disregard bad reviews.Thanks Jon

Just a amazing rental property. This house had everything you could ask for and more. Walk to the beach in minutes, amazing patios, and views as well. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Destin.
