Was at Cowboys a few times this Stampede and it was brutal. Seemed like it was their first Stampede ever. Beer tubs empty, bars were out of almost everything all the time. Totally understaffed. The whole venue is quite disgusting. I think they need more staff to help clean up as the days and nights go on. Don't even get me started on the bathroom situation!!! Feels like I am in a 3rd world country ..... But in the end, this venue makes MILLIONS. I think at a certain point, they stop caring about anything else.

Was stampede 2018 was trying to have a good time at the tent in the grounds. I had tickets to get to a private event in the tent yet the event holders were not at the gate to provide bracelets. Security (5 different people) proceeded to parade me around for an hour and not give me access to the tent without paying $150 after I had already paid to get access earlier but had to leave the tent to get into the private event. Cowboys did not provide any solution other than fork over $150 and did not understand my situation at all. I regret the situation I had and I hope they can provide a semblance of better service to other people because mine was terrible and I hope they learn from it after losing a customer.

Stampede first Thursday. Unorganized, understaffed, could not keep beer tubs consistently full. Credit card platform takes too long and beer tub girls consistently ran out of change.. Need more people at the main bars to accommodate flow. The platform above the bar was leaking water below probably from an above bar. Bathrooms were disgusting. I won’t be spending my money this year at Cowboys. You’d think by now they would really want to wow everyone on the first opening day but it was a complete wash!

Went there on at saturday night at 10pm for lip sync battle.They had no shock top, coorlight, kokanee or budweiser. What kind of club doesn't offer those kinds of beer. Also women are allowed to dance on the tables but men are not allowed. Seem a little discriminatory. Place is a joke

The Walmart Supercentre of bars, Cowboys is good at pleasing a variety of crowds but great at pleasing none. There is something for most people there, but there's no consistency. Since they play such a large variety of music, you can be jamming out one minute and wanting to cut your ears off the next. The place was also surprisingly dead the Friday night I went. There is plenty of security, but their staff sticks with the theme of no consistency by picking and choosing issues to deal with while letting others slide. I'll probably find myself following friends here a couple more times this summer, but it's not my top choice. Surviving mostly on its reputation, Cowboys is tough to recommend.

Hands down the worst club and casino in Calgary! Would rate it zero stars if offered the choice. I hope this place burns to the ground and the owner leaves town, so the convenient location can be taken over by someone who knows how to run a club and casino. On the other hand if you have no social skills and weigh about 145 pounds, consider applying for the bouncer jobs as there are a ton of degenerate bouncers you'll be able to relate to.

Plenty do do, whether playing the tables, enjoying the slots or just enjoying a beer in the casino area. Cowboys bar depending on which night you go in can be awesome. Plenty of dancing, live bands, stripper nights. Dance floor is quite large and plenty of people to dance with, the bar tenders we're always helpful and quick to serve you. Plenty of bar drinks available or waiting staff circling with a variety of shots on trays. I've always had good nights here to be honest, no matter what day if the week it is.

My least favorite club in Calgary. The crowd is generic Calgarians, fake cowboys, and high-maintenance drunk chicks. The music is fine until they switch to country, and everyone tries their hardest to keep it groovin'. The hot-dog stand is good, though. Also, they had midget wrestling and that was the best. Go here once to get it out of your system, and see if it's your style.

I got a party bus and package for my birthday with a bunch of my friends. The bus was so much fun, however getting into the bar was terrible. The bouncers are wicked rude getting in. Then, we went to the bathroom in the casino, on our way out five of the workers which four of them were MEN walks into the LADIES bathroom with a empty mickey of vodka and says "This bottle of vodka is yours, and you're all leaving right now." It was my birthday, the bottle of vodka did not belong to any of us, and they kicked out half of my friends on my birthday for absolutely no reason or proof that this bottle of vodka was ours (which it wasn't). There were no apologies or offers to find a way home, it is not an easy task to find a cheap ride home downtown suddenly when you were planning to stay the whole night. I was very disappointed and so were all of my friends. I would not recommend this place.
