A very clean and good looking to spend some time playing while keeping it low profile and fun. I would recomend this place if your near by. 4 starts just because its relatively small.
I came here for the first time last September. It's a pretty cool place. Even though it's a really old casino I like how it has a lot of new slot machines like dragon link and I did pretty well. I dont like that it was really smokey and there were quite a few weird people there. I will probably be back.
Small cozy casino, not too crowded. The slots seem to be on the loose side and we always leave with a little more than we took. And it's not overly smoky.
The bus ride from Truckee, California was above an hour as their is a lot of snow and slippery roads. The casino was casual. Had many popular games and slots. The people were very friendly. Win some lose some.
It is a casino so I suppose it doesn't rate five stars ever. I went to see a show in the showroom and for the show I saw it had seating on a first-come-first-serve basis. I was very grateful to have a seat because I've been there before for other events and the room was very crowded and difficult to stand for the entire show. I've been going to the Crystal Bay Casino for 40 years and nothing much has changed. The parking garage is adequate and covered which is helpful during stormy weather.from experience I can tell you it is a great place to lose money or see a show. These days I choose the shows.
We had started at the Nugget, which was depressing, and my hopes weren't high for Crystal Bay; however, I was pleasantly surprised, as it married old school charm with new world casino. The staff is charming, and the cocktails were above par! We will come back, definitely.
