Anyone in Rio de Janeiro willing to spend some time in a gorgeous place must go to the races, even those who do not bet.
The Gavea jockey club is just one of the nicest choices to spend a day out. It was inaugurated in 1926, and its architecture is based on an European racecourse. The view from the stands is outstanding. The track is round with 2000 metres in extent on the grass course and a little less on the sand course.
Horse races are held there all the year round and it offers an outdoor sport to be enjoyed by all the family. There are restaurants, food trucks, refreshments, and it is a place the visitors will be excited with.
