I stopped by Golden Nugget because I was looking for a restaurant to dine at, and was staying nearby at Harrah's. The Japanese restaurant had exceptional sushi on their happy hour menu, I highly recommend it! Service was fantastic! The casino had a younger, lively crowd which made for a fun atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!

We stayed overnight at the Golden Nugget. The room was large and comfortable. They are clean and well maintained. The outdoor pool is fantastic. Lots of lounge chairs. The food at the pool is really good. The staff if very friendly and professional. We had dinner in the buffet. I'm not a fan of buffets but the food here was really good. A great selection to choose from. I'm looking forward to trying their other restaurants. It's a very nice casino and we will visit again.

The hotel itself is run down and old, def not the best. I am pretty sure the machines are super old and hard to win money from.
However it has the best club in AC, that's where I would give my stars. I think it has the right amount of space and speakers where people can move freely but not feel like it's empty. I've been to Premier and The Pool and let's just say this is def the best. Oh and sometimes girls get in for free ;)

My boyfriend took me to the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City during the first week of March 2018 for a few days of quality time which I really appreciated. (Let's be clear though, this hotel is far from romantic.)
I'm not a gambler so the Casino had no real allure for me although I did play slot machines during my stay. I found that there wasn't much to do in the hotel. The winter weather those few days was just so awful; too awful to venture out!
The bars & restaurants in the hotel--albeit convenient--were all closed early. There were no shows to see either.
The hotel itself, in my opinion, was OK. The room had ample room. The bathroom was tiny but everything was clean. I really appreciated the mini refrigerator in the room! The bed was OK but the overall decor of the hotel and our room was a bit outdated. The staff was friendly.
My boyfriend, however, enjoyed the Golden Nugget very much. He described it as: clean, welcoming, comfortable and inviting with a nice bed. He also thought the staff was very friendly and he would like for us to return.

Golden nugget - clean rooms, comfortable beds, fun slot machines(drinks while you play). Kim is my most favorite cocktail waitress, shes genuine ,friendly, attentive ,she makes us feel like family coming to visit..
The rush lounge, For us wine drinkers (VERY HIGH) priced glasses of wine) they "DO NOT" have any specials on wine.. However , its a nice place to get a drink if you're a beer or shot drinker. Fun while listening to a variety of performers.. My favorite is "DJ Skyline" , he gets everyone up on the dance floor, including the people whom are to shy or dont know how to dance... Love him.

They've done a good job making the place fun with the decor and layout. The staff do whatever I ask of them and are welcoming. Slots types are scattered so as its hard to find your type of machine. No smoking areas smell smoky. Lots of offerings and promotions. Still worth it.

Great drinks and servers actually come around unlike every other casino. Was just at harrahs and even though I ordered a drink from the machine it never came in a half hour then I left. Nightclub haven is cool and all staff is friendly everywhere. Plus the only casino not greedy as hell and doesn't charge for parking. Tropicana charges ten dollars even for hotel guests per night. No thanks I'll take that ten bucks and gamble or get some food a Golden Nugget instead of throwing it away on nothing.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER...FROM START TO FINISH! Stayed at the Golden Nugget for an awards convention. We arrived and headed to the valet parking area. Nobody was around to greet us. Made us feel like we weren't in the right place, even though we clearly were. Finally someone showed up. Got our stuff and headed inside. No signs, or employees to tell us where we go to check-in. Headed up the escalators and hoped for the best. We got off the escalators and it still wasn't clear where to go to check-in. Again, not a single employee around to help. Found a bar and asked the bartender where the heck we go to check-in. Finally found it.
One person checking people in. Not so bad, since there were only 3 people on line. It was 2 PM and I had made an appointment for 3 PM in their salon for hair and makeup. We were able to check in early and go up to our room.
Room was HOT. A/C didn't work well at all. Everything seemed clean, bed was very comfortable.
Headed down to the salon and spa for hair and makeup. OMG! WORST "PROFESSIONALS EVER!". My hair ended up looking like a ridiculous attempt at curls flop. My makeup looked even worse. I kept telling both of them what to do to fix it, but it was just making it worse. For what I paid, I should have left there looking like a princess. I ended up looking like what comes out of a princesses dog. They took so long, to do such a bad job, I only had 20 minutes to head back upstairs to fix the mess and get dressed before the event!!
Next morning...9 AM. Check out is noon. In bed. Privacy door hanger on the door. “Knock, knock, knock”. We didn’t answer and assumed it was from across the hall. Again, “knock, knock, knock”. I went to the door and asked who it was. “Housekeeping”. I said “does the privacy please door hanger mean nothing? We’re not checking out until noon”. About an hour later, they were back again. Ugh!
Upon checkout, we eagerly awaited our vehicle at the valet parking area. When our vehicle finally arrived, we loaded our stuff in and off we went. As we pulled out from under the garage and headed toward the light, we realized our vehicle was covered in some sort of oil spray. It was EVERYWHERE. Mirrors, windows, paint, everything covered is this oil!!!! Deciding to leave the experience behind and move on, we headed to the nearest car wash.
Will NEVER visit this hotel again.

This hotel has nice rooms and the drink service is great. The machines are super tight and yake away the fun in playing. This also mot a place to bring kids with you on vacation, nothing for them to do and have fun. The buffet is mediocre and no quick food to just grab. The smoking section is very hot and small. I wish they would have at least left some reel detectives in the back.

Nice hotel? Nothing fancy? Went to breakfast at their self service and it was terrible. Service staff were very accommodating. Room was nice,clean and do able. Nothing fancy. Near everything on the boardwalk. Would go back again.
