Really disappointed with our experience having to be sent to another hotel late in the evening when the hotel was overbooked and our room was given away despite our reservation weeks in advance. I work in hospitality and the way it was handled was extremely frustrating. The news of the hotel being sold out was told to us in a way that said "We are sorry but its not our problem at this point" and only when we pleaded for options did it get worked out to send us to another hotel. This took 45 minutes and added an hour and a half to our evening which was late as is. Really brutal customer report with one particular front desk agent, the other was more sympathetic but not equipped to handle what seemed like a policy error and lack of communication with their guests. Glad a solution was worked out in the end and thankful we did have our night a the other hotel covered... however this was not an enjoyable experience. To the managers, please train and equip your staff with better confidence with what to do in those situations that doesn't make your guests feel like they are just out of luck the day your hotel overbooked its rooms. They deserve to be confident in explaining these situations to guests and offering solutions right away rather than once a fuss is put up. Overall the hotel looked lovely in the lobby... but never made it to the rooms to rate.

I want to update my original review. We have had some mediocre service in the past but their Canada Day festivities were well done. The service was clearly twice as good than we normally expect. I hope they keep up the top notch servers in the large dining room and floor staff.

Okay food but the server Azeb was horrible. We went to the buffet and the hostess seated us quickly so it started well. After this we were left on our own. Dirty plates piled up on our table, no refills, and to end the day we had to hunt her down for our bill.
They clearly have poor serving staff which can ruin your day out.

I've only ever been to the stage here and it's not bad. However, the bar is not equipped at all to deal with the amount of people they bring in for events. The line up was at least 20 minutes for not even very long of a line. This to me is not a deal breaker but it is extremely annoying if you want a beverage.
Outside of that, from a venue perspective, the sound is good and the area is enormous.

Attended the buffet on the "tastes of the Americas" night. The food quality was typical of buffet fare but the selection of foods were an interesting and pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was excellent, as one might expect from a casino. The service was attentive, our server was friendly and a pleasure to interact with. The chef was also more than accommodating of our groups dietary restriction. Some of the desserts seemed underpar but it was nothing too off-putting. I would absolutely return.

We stayed in our RV rental overnight in their overflow lot. It's a grass lot. It had just rained, so it was a little muddy. BUT it was free. Just had to check in with the front security desk. There was obviously not a bathroom (washroom) out in the grass lot, but free is free. Highly recommend it if you're stopping in your RV in Calgary.

The room there are nice and clean. The free breakfast was AWESOME, wasn't what we expected, when they said "complimentary breakfast"!!! You'll be satisfied for sure. We ate at the buffet for dinner, prime rib night, it too was delicious. Then gambled for a bit, won some money... so all in all it was a good stay.

I love staying here. The rooms are always so clean, views into the foothills are beautiful. If you can get a room with a bath you wont regret it. Super deep tub. The hotel always smells so nice. The little chief restaurant has amazing food. The casino buffet is ok, we've only ever been on the weekend for prime rib. If you want a million choices for dessert this is the buffet for you. Highly recommend the place over all.

I had a 2 day conference at the hotel. The meeting and event rooms were all nice and everything worked. The chairs in the smaller meeting rooms were decent. The ones in the large event rooms weren't great for long periods. The food was excellent! Everyone was helpful and everything ran smoothly and on time.

Best casino resort in Calgary. We always stay at this hotel when we are in town. The beds and pillows are super comfortable - softest bed we have ever slept on. There is a swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, and fitness room. Love the outdoor hot tub, especially in the winter when there is snow outside. There is complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. The connected casino is a great place for entertainment. Staff are super friendly and poker action is always good. Absolutely one of our favorite place to stay.
