Montelimar seems like a very nice place to spend with friends and family, rooms are ok... quite comfy and well equipped. Food is just average... free drinks are very low quality. And the craziest thing, they don't have free wifi, for the prize you pay that's the minimum they should offer. Maybe they should catch up with the modern world.

Great place to stay in Nicaragua. I had a wonderful week staying at Barcelo Montelimar. People are so friendly and they have a great pool.

I loved it at Montilimar. We went down twice for the day last time I was in Nicaragua. Nice bar and restaurant. The food was great and the staff was on it although we were the only customers. The pool looks refreshing. There are only a few rooms but they looked comfortable. Great beach with board rentals and shade. We will be back.

I love this hotel. This is my second year that i come and spend a week with my family. We had a great time. I love the food and staff is great.

2002 Glenda abrego y Rafael Gacia desaparecieron en un kayak en este hotel gracias a sus negligencias en epocas de semana santa 03/28. no havia ningun sitema de rescate y mucho menos un prcedimiento serio/ hotel fue informado inmediatamente cuando la corriente se los llevava y la administracion no hizo nada hasta despues de dos horas pasadas/ su reaccion fue embiar otro kayak a su busqueda y ahora despues de 20 años sin haber encontrado sus cuerpos no hay ningun indicio de cambios en el hotel. Nunca fueron penalisados mucho menos responsabilisados por sus negligencias peor hotrl del mundo.

Pleasantly surprised. We have not stayed here for years and would not have if not for a great deal for a group birthday. We have always enjoyed the facility but the food was barely edible. But this time, the food was actually pretty good. Roast beef last night that was super tender and a seafood pasta for lunch with lots of seafood. Rooms are clean and staff at the restaurant have been very attentive.

The service not so good and the price for the kind of food the we get, there is nothing special I can get this kind of food any where in San Rafael with $5 not $ 20 I think this is a rip off thanks

Awful, depressing. Smelly rooms. Cockroaches. Comforter stained. Yuk! Very spread out. The whole place needs a rehab. I have stayed in way better hotels in Nicaragua. The beach was pretty good and clean. Cleaner than my room.

Very nice place cleaning staff could use some better training and room towels seemed to be in short supply marble floors are nice but very slippery bath mat should be supplied but overall a good place to stay . Food was good .

Not at all what I expected. The food was ok and the room and pool area were nice, but the service needs improvement and at the end I couldn't check out without giving them the two towels..I've never seen anything like that. It's ok, if you want a cheap vacation.. If you're looking for something more elegant, pass on this place.
