What can I say, 13 of us from New Zealand went there for lunch and what we had was second to none, the sea food platters was not only very generous but spectacular in taste.
The view the service wow and the house Ice crushed drink for everyone hit the spot.
I must also mention that the food was very fresh and the oysters...
Gotta stop there, hungry again just thinking of it, very very highly recommended, 5 stars all the way, cannot wait to go again...

Cannot complain about the food it was ok but still pricey, the view is worth it though. The food service was absolutely atrocious as we waited over 2 hours for our mains and when we received them they were luke warm, edible and tasty but at near $40 a plate certainly not acceptable. We were never given the opportunity for a desert menu or for an after dinner drink, it appeared all the staff were only too keen to close up, I don’t blame them given the wait time for meals but that certainly isn’t our problem!! I have eaten here many times over the years in Townsville and can honestly say I will NEVER be back to eat here again. The Pier Restaurant certainly needs to work on their service as this was a quiet night with only about 40 people for the whole 3.5 hours we were seated. I can not recommend eating here for the price you pay for the food.

The food was good as was the service. The seafood platter was pretty light on but the quality was great. It really needs a bit of a refresh as it's looking a little tired. Great view of the harbour though, I'd go back.

I cannot rave about the service here enough. Freshest and most elegant seafood in town. 10/10 view. Book 6:30pm to watch the sun go down over the marina.

The location is awesome. Unfortunately The food is average, I had oysters and they were room temperature, prefer them cold. The barramundi main was dry and over cooked. The service was wonderful and friendly, although they do need more staff. The service was slow, but that wasn’t the fault of the staff, more so the lack of staff. The bar is simply stocked and therefore was only capable of a limited range of drinks. Prices are good. Overall the location demands more from a restaurant.

Walked in for a birthday meal, what a surprise!
Walking around Townsville with no specific dining plan for my birthday spur of the moment we'd thought we would try The Pier. Was a very busy night at The Pier when we walked in, no problem for the very helpful, eager & courteous staff.
We sat in the nice lounge area & enjoyed a drink until a table became available, after about 10" we were seated at the best table in the house with a stunning view overlooking the marina and the lights of Townsville. For Dinner we had the seafood platter for 2, WOW what a truly superb meal, this was easily the best dining experience we've ever had in Townsville. Great setting, beautiful meal & extraordinary service from lovely staff.............we"ll definitely be back.

Tonight was very disappointing. I ordered a seafood chowder but it only had fish in it and no other seafood. Definitely was not worth the money. Don't think I'll be back

The service was good but the food was a let down. We got a seafood chowder, would have been good to have some seafood in it and not just fish with a bone. The salad for main had no dressing. The seafood platter pricing should have reflected the quantity of the dish. We don't mind paying good money for good portions, but unfortunately we did not receive that. We are disappointed and won't be back.

Had a fantastic stay here. Started at the entrance being greeted by the valet who took charge of our luggage and car. Check in without a booking wasn't an issue either. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Miss Songs and Quarterdeck had divine food and service.
Loved our stay will certainly stay here again. Had a look through the casino, but didn't play at all.
