A great night out and lots of fun. Horse races are always a good time. Marquis Downs is dated and could be a whole lot better if it was renovated and updated.
We went to a few races with kids. The cost was $2 per adult and 18 and under were free. You can't beat the price. There's long delays between races and the races are over pretty fast. But that's horse racing.
This last weekend was the first time I've been to the track. It was good but there are a few things that need updating. Inside is a bit like a dungeon and the washrooms were incredibly dirty. However, the drinks were delicious and the lady who took our bids was absolutely fantastic.
This is a fun place to go if you like thoroughbred horse races, which I do. The place isn't in the best shape, but there's nothing really wrong with it. Parking is tough, but it's not that far of a walk if you can't get real close. Races are spaced 25 minutes apart, which gives you enough time to watch the horses in the paddock, then go to make a bet. At $2 every 25 minutes, it'll take me forever to go broke! Lots of fun watching the races, it's very exciting. Pro tip: bet on the grey horse. Or is it, never bet on the grey horse??? I can never remember. Either way, it's a fun evening!

Fun place to go in the summer for something to do. You can place a couple bucks on the horses or your kids tuition, your choice! Great place for a group of friends.
