Fantastic Rooms!!! All of them are suites...very roomy. The mattress are like sleeping in air. I can't say enough about this hotel and casino. They have everything you need...pool..spa...game room for the kiddos..the casino floor is clean and roomy. Great food and room service. Located at the entrance to Payson. Close to everything. Worth the money to stay. Reasonable prices.

Employees there are not friendly. They don't have enough people bringing drinks around. The machines are fun. It's in a beautiful location, just too bad the people who work there aren't better with the public! The grill guys were nice & our food was delicious, served hot, very good there! We drive from Mesa and often spend the day. It's a great drive! We don't use players club cards, just like to go play & have fun!

This casino is frightening!!! The footage of those armed robbers walking into Mazatzal Casino and shooting high powered rifles off was terrifying!!! There were NO ARMED POLICE OFFICERS in the building. This Casino doesn't care enough to to have off duty ARMED police officers in their establishment to protect their staff and customers... I am shocked! They make millions off the patrons and DO NOT take the necessary steps to create a safe environment. ALL THEY HIRE ARE UNARMED SECURITY GUARDS. They can do nothing, but call the local reservation police, which takes longer to get to their establishment, then the local police. Mazatzal Casino is not the destination you want to experience.

Was there for a concert. Smoky and sad feeling when you walk inside. Had dinner buffet - disappointing. Even the dining room had this weird, somber feeling. Outdoor concert - all the parking lot lights blazing killed the mood. Needed more parking lot attendants to clear out the traffic afterwards. On a positive note, the bathrooms are nice and clean. And our dining room server was excellent.

Nice place, relaxing environment. Would be nice if the coffee shop was open later though. Cocktail waitress working in the lounge said she would bring us a cup of coffee since the shop was closed but forgot about us. No one ever came around to ask if we wanted something to drink. Players club card didn't work in the machine I was playing.

Great casino and location. I always have a great time. If there was going to be any improvement I would suggest the buffet. It is very small.

We are so grateful and happy with this last minute beat-the-heat decision to stay here...so much so that we extended our stay. We stayed at the patio suite and I'm currently writing from the comoforts of the king bed. Prices were exceptionally reasonable. The hotel casino is fairly big, well maintained & beautiful. Every staff encounter was a super pleasant and professional experience. This magical place has history of the Tonto Apache in its roots and it is absolutely a MUST to visit and feel the love! We enjoy going to Payson for day trips but now we have a reason to stay. Thank you Mazatzal-we hope to back soon to congratulate on the 25 years!

We came to this casino today with a group of people on a turn around bus trip. We ate at the Cedar Ridge Restaurant. The staff here was rude. Our waitress got our order wrong and when my husband told her she told him to "just eat it". Then we go up to pay and the older lady at the cash register didn't greet us, I handed her the receipt with my money; she then slammed down the receipt I needed to sign and didn't say a word. My sis n law went to pay and same thing was done to her. My snl told the lady thank you and have a nice day and the cashier didn't say a word back. The food here needs a little help with flavor and the coffee tasted watered down. We won't be going back to this restaurant when and if we visit again.

The Grille inside the Mazatzal Casino
Food was really good, had a pizza and wife had a bacon burger. The cooks have all the food prepped and ready to go. Would definitely come back for more

Ate the buffet. $10. Instant potatoes. Prime rib I think at one time was all liquid. The gravy was from a package mix. The fried chicken reminded me of the hungry man TV dinners. Waited to be seated. Waited at the table for service. Not impressed.
