Typical upscale Steakhouse atmosphere with excellent service. I still believe this is the best steak in New York City. However portions have declined in size over the last couple of years.

Probably the best steak house in NY. Excellent seafood for those non-meat eaters in your party. An amazing winelist with good selection from the US. Cost? If to have to ask, don't go.

My wife and I were in NY on vacation from London and we booked Sparks online late on a Friday evening. An eclectic mix of diners ranged from Wall Street traders and brokers, dating couples to families. Wonderful, friendly service from our waitress and the meat (sirloin steak and lamb) was out of this world. Extensive wine list as well - would definitely recommend.

Awesome dining experience, great food, and wonderful service! The filet was HUGE! It can be pretty noisy, and I suggest reservations because it gets pretty crowded. Probably not the best place to go for a quiet dinner.

Went for a family dinner. Staff excellent, attentive and welcoming. Our food was superb; possibly the best steak I’ve ever had. Probably enough beef to last for a month or two. Vegans crossing the road to avoid me now.

Simply the best steak house in New York. Great service and fun to see all the couples tonight, Valentines Day, rather than the usual power brokers. Great steaks, perfect sides and Maine lobsters. We've loved this place for almost 50 years since they were a little joint on 18th Street! Don't miss the fabulous Hudson River school art. A priceless collection.

Good atmosphere, exceptional wine list, was truly impressed with the library list. Staff is friendly and pleasant. Food was excellent, had the salmon. Will definitively return to try more wines :)

Best steak I think I have ever had. The place isn't cheap, they don't offer every cut, the decor is old school 20's bordello -- so what!! The food is incredible, and by that I mean the steak is perfect. I ordered mine medium rare and it came charred on both sides and perfectly cooked inside while being the most tender strip I have ever had. If you don't go to this place at least once, you have cheated yourself out of one of the best steaks in the world, and certainly a contender for the best.
