Fun place, actually the only place to be in hot springs since there's not much here to begin with. Small tourist retirement town. The band was dynamite. The food was great.

High class horses race here during the race meeting in early spring. Casino and video horse racing ( off track betting? ) all year. You have to try the corned beef sandwiches they are famous for. They are outstanding!

If you will only listen to the truth and not get upset. Gaming at Oaklawn is like dying over and over again. If you win 1-3 hundred bucks the fun is over. Oaklawn take all that money back. The place is really a rip off. And that's the opinion of more then just me. For a fact at lease 7 out of 10 guest say the same thing. The only reason they are doing the business that they are doing. Is because it's a one pony show. If there we're some competition for Oaklawn. That would be the only way that gaming would be fair. Sorry the truth hurt! But go ahead and look down on me for the truth. Its the American way. Thanks.

The only reason Oaklawn Racing and Gaming is receiving a one-star rating on my behalf is in reflection of the dilligence and hard work exhibited by the casino housekeeping staff and in recognition of the manner of courtesy in which members of the F&B team greet and serve casino guests. Otherwise, this place is nothing more than a complete waste of fun and dollars. Used to have a good time here, but in recent months the machines have completely stopped paying out. I realize this is a business and the odds favor the house. That being said, until the beginning of 2018, an occasional jackpot wasn't unheard of. Until now. Good luck, folks! Played $300 today and didn't hit ONCE. Great place to "play" if you're in the mood for a financial raping. Kiss or dinner not included.

Great fun. The staff we as wonderful. Very polite even when I needed to trade in coins from the bottom if my purse for dollar bills. It worked out well too. 4 turned into 40 .

With the latest expansion we now have a casino that has a Vegas-like feel and atmosphere. As most places in the area, they lack in quality of service. People just dont interact or have warmth they used to.
Sills Bar n Grill has great food along with the same great atmosphere that should come with a casino restaurant!

Traffic was a nightmare. Absolutely lacking in infrastructure leading to/away. Parking is severely lacking, though there is plenty of $15-50 private parking. Lines everywhere you turn inside. Cashier and Player Services staff were quite nice, was impressed. Had a quick meal at Silk between races. Drink order screwed up. Entree screwed up. Chastity / Charity was waitress, looked about ready to drop at any moment.

Obviously Oaklawn hosts the horse races every year from January to April, but they also have a casino now, too. Sometimes it’s awesome, sometimes not so much BUT they seem to be a work in progress. They are CONSTANTLY adding new machines and changing things up. It seems like they are trying to listen to what their customers want,
unlike some of their competitors in the surrounding states. Staff is always very friendly and the sweet tea is just fabulous in the Bistro. The Bistro also has great breakfast type food, among other things and it seems like a good deal, too. I’m not sure of the schedule, but a lot of times Oaklawn has live music that’s always really good & does a lot for the atmosphere while you’re playing. Just don’t go prepared to win and you may be surprised to come out ahead! There’s usually no happy medium as far as winning goes—either ya lose it all or win big. That’s been my experience anyway. Some of the win big days are pretty unbelievable—like it will have you questioning if you’re dealing with reality or dreaming LOL You would never think it possible to win 3 of the 4 jackpots on the Wonder 4 machines in less than an hour, but yeah, it’s possible here—if it’s possible for me then it is possible for anybody 😀🌈😀

From a patron stance. The only appealing thing about the race side is the actual horses and the racing. It's not really my type of environment. The racing side is overly crowded (on big event days) and the stench of smoke, beer, and smelly dust amongst other things just isn't inviting.
From a domesticated stance. If you're dealing with terrible customer service it's definitely trickling down from the terrible management. The race track side of this establishment is ran VERY poorly. The staff in the Jockey Club are beyond unprofessional, including part of the office staff. I've seasonally helped out here sporadically for many years, but worked in a different area and under a different admin in previous years. This is definitely the worst this far and definitely my last season. They wonder why they can't get people to work. It's not the work, it's because of them! It wasn't until last year that I came to this area of the establishment and discovered how badly managed and unprofessional this place is. Realizing why it has such a high turnover. It's a very bigoted, superiority, and hierarchy environment. The way the staff treats and talks to other employees is beyond disgusting. They scream, holler, curse, and behave like miscreants.There was even an incident where one of the office employees allowed their husband, which is not employed by Oaklawn, holler at an employee and get in that employee's face. If you don't allow them to mistreat you, then they try to target you. They're like a bunch of high school bullies, but in their 50's and 60's. You expect it from the younger workers, but the older ones are just as bad or worse. How miserably sad. Reaching out to HR about it is pointless. That's all. And that's putting it all short and refined.

Každé kasino je na prd!!! V 95% vyhrává kasino!! A kdyby jste tým chtely zavítat tak upozornuji že obsluze automatu to vždy trvalo a treba pití mi nenabídli vubec až když jsem se po 3 hodinách došel zeptat jestli je tam nejaka obsluha že bych se rád neceho napil.... Tak z poza rohu vylezl mladej kluk a ríká tak co si teda dáte a já ríkám jablecný džus a on ok hned jo prinesu........ Po 15ti minutach prisel a rika tak naštvane tak tady to mate..!!!! Shrnutí: automaty moc nedávají obsluha pomalá,nezajímajíci se,otrávená a neochotná!!!! Radsi Doporucuji a to mluvím z vlastní zkušenosti koupit si treba láhev vína stáhnout si film a koukat radši na film treba se ženou nebo s kamarádama protoze jak už jsem vyše psal v 95% odejdete s prázdnou peneženkou nekdy i hur napriklad s prázdným kontem ???? a když vám to nedá a musíte jít opravdu nutné hrát tak doporucuji 100% jiné kasino!!!!
