Deadwood Social Club Restaurant

Cute place. I feel bad for the women who work here... Their uniforms are ridiculous. The men get to wear tees and jeans, but the women wear corsets and parachute pants. Pretty unequal.

The re-enactment of the shooting of Wild Bill Hickok is a must see here in town. Charley is an amazing guy to engage kids into history and playing cards. He’s a natural. This really makes the town a special place to visit for tourists or families.

Deadwood Social Club Restaurant

Sad to say that am older lady bartender ruined this place for us, extremely rude and acted like we were bothering her to ask if we should seat ourselves after waiting 10 minutes at the door. There was 1 person in there eating. There is a sign that says don't bring in strollers, which we didn't, but we asked if we could fold it up and put it in the corner so it wouldn't be stolen on the street. She replied very blunt, leave it outside if you wanna eat here and good luck. We love the town but will never return here and we make sure to let everyone going to this town to skip this particular establishment.

Neat place! They had a great band there this week! We have gone back 3 nights just to listen! Service is good, even when busy, there are multiple bars to get your drink from, within this saloon! Saw dust on the floor, whiskey barrel chairs, just a neat place. Can get pretty busy though, on the weekends.

Deadwood Social Club Restaurant

Historical bar/restaurant right in Downton Deadwood. Good size place with small gift store, gaming, food and a bar. In the summer they put in a show for the shooting of Wild Bill Hickok. I have not dines here so can't judge the food although it looked and smelled good. Bartenders and game dealers are very friendly. Table minimums are very reasonable so good place to play if you are a novice card player.

Deadwood Social Club Restaurant

Just beware that they place a $50 hold on your card if you open a tab. I only spent $10.50 and then called the next day to inquire about the $50 charge, thinking that it was entered incorrectly, and when I suggested they should let patrons know, I was told "there are signs everywhere". I am sure I missed them while waiting for the bartender to notice I was in need of a drink....Nothing bad about the bartenders, just a warning. It had an aesthetically-fascinating array of history and diverse patrons.

Deadwood Social Club Restaurant

This restaurant was horrible. It smells terrible when you walk in and I found a fingernail in my drink. My companion found a hair on her glass. The bathrooms looked nice but were dirty. The seats felt sticky. They have no vegetarian or vegan options and the tomatoes were green.

Absolute favorite place in Deadwood! We go here multiple times during the rally and it never gets old! The re-enactment of Wild Bill being shot is something you have to see. Very very good show and informative. Can't go wrong with this place. The staff and food are amazing as well.
