My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last night in celebration of our 8 year anniversary. We were in the mood to try a new place and are always seeking to find a replacement for our previous favorite Italian restaurant that closed several years ago (Philomenas). At first, we were a bit skeptical because there were very few cars in the lot but again, it was a Thursday night, so we valet parked ($5) and went in. The walkway that leads into the restaurant is magical and if you continue walking it leads to their courtyard seating area which is an absolute dream with its string lights, trees and fountain. It’s so romantic, you feel like you’re dining in Italy! We sat inside (because it was in the high 80s) in a beautifully decorated dining area and our server, Cheryl, was so warm, attentive, personable and just plain awesome. She completely made our night! In the table next to us was a son and his elder mother. We got to speaking to them and they told us that La Veranda has been their family’s favorite restaurant for over 20 years. After dining there last night, I can now understand why. From the garlic bread, to the chicken rollatini, the food was to die for! Cheryl also gifted us with the best tiramisu we have ever tasted and a lit candle in honor of our celebration. This restaurant won us over and we can’t wait to go back for more!!! The other server, Joey, was also very friendly, helpful and whitty :) Thank you, La Veranda for the perfect anniversary dinner!

Just had dinner her last night but next weekend we are having a party there and I can't wait. Food is fabulous, great ambience and the staff are attentive!!

I rarely eat Italian out because it is usually not very good, but I was very impressed with La Veranda. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. It was a little pricey, but well worth it.

This place has true romantic ambience. Definitely a cute and delicious little hidden gem. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and never even knew this place existed until a friend told me about it. Excellent place to take a date and sit outside in the courtyard and even though it's only steps off of Federal Highway, you'll feel like you're miles away in a courtyard in Italy. And I highly recommend their grilled octopus, amazing!

The chopped pork was good, the sauce had a nice bite. The corn muffin which I paid extra for was stale and the cold slaw was out of a can. The atmosphere was great!

So this was exciting to go to. The atmosphere was perfect for this friendly family BBQ place. Arrived late on a Saturday and yes meats were running out, but the line-up long and strong. The staff lightened things as the meats started running down. We got what we wanted BBQ Meat sides, Hush Puppies, Peach Cobbler, and Sweet Patotoe Pie.
Great food. Great happy staff. Great dinner.

Take one bite of anything you order and you’ll make plans for your next visit. It makes figuring out what to order difficult because it’s all... all the way good. Good prices, great food, but there’s one problem. They don’t sell red bull. After eating all of that Smokey magic you will be on the verge of a food coma.

I'm a southern girl and I know barbecue.This one is by far the best barbecue restaurant in South Florida! The meat is always cooked slowly with wood on a smoker. Juicy smoke meat! They have chicken, brisket, turkey, pulled pork, St Louis ribs, baby back ribs, sliced pork. The sides are great too. You'll be coming back for more!!! Get there early the lines are long but it's well worth it!!!

Wow! Best BBQ in South Florida IMHO Great customer service and the food was so good they could be mean and I would still come back! But they were all really down to earth folks who want you to leave happy and full. Worth the trip from Miami Beach or from anywhere!

First time there, employee walked me in as she was outside i told her it was my first time. She walked me and lead the way. While waiting she checked on me asked what I got and hoped I enjoyed it. Once i got to the parking lot she made sure she told me goodnight and to enjoy. I wish I would've gotten her name. I'm in retail and customer service is number 1 priority, she excelled that. The food was great and even if it wasn't the customer service was great. Thank you in a world where you rarely see great service. 03/23/18 about 920 PM I was there hopefully she's recognized.
