Slack's Oyster House & Grill

Small casino, but very close to home...hey let's face it...why drive 2 hours to lose your money when you can do it close to home! Actually on this visit I won some money! Entertainment is usually good, saw "Elvis" tonight, I give Robert Black (Elvis impersonator) a lot of credit he puts on quite a show, one man on stage for hours he's fun. Other entertainment is good here also and free! Food is pretty good too.

Want to thank Greg Demarco for his professionalism taking care of a concern I had as a customer. He personally called me. Apologized on behalf of the Casino and most importantly took the information and got back to his team so that they could all improve. That’s all any customer can ask for. Bravo to Greg and his team.

Slack's Oyster House & Grill

Very Unwelcoming! At my first and last time going there we purchased DD coffees to bring, but had to throw them out to enter. Shortly after, coming back from the airport, my son decided to stop and check it out. But the guard gave him the third degree - asking him his information and wanting his ID and to verify it or he could not enter. The guard said to him, "you can't just come walking in here like it is Twin River!". Such a hard time that my son decided to leave. Thinking, why am I going to give my money to a place that is treating me like this? (He couldn't even use the restroom!!!) I'm sorry Plainridge, but Twin River has it way over your place. You're casino is so tiny you can't even get a machine! Not worth the trip there - waste of gas and time! Twin River is much larger, plenty of machines, great bands and welcomes and treat their guests well...no shake up upon entering and you can bring your coffee in!

Nice casino, very new and shiny and really fun games. I only use the slot machines, but they have no table gaming other than video table gaming. Comparing Plainridge Casino to Twin Rivers, I would say that my own personal experience indicates that Twin Rivers has a slightly higher winning payout margin. But Plainridge's Marquee Reward program offers much higher slot play offers, and really lets you build up your tier level much faster than Twin Rivers. Unfortunately, having achieved executive producer level after considerable expense, one of the most looked forward to and clearly advertised benefit was supposed to be access to the VIP lounge. Well apparently that access is not currently allowed. And writing any sort of correspondence with their help or support department (they do not even list a telephone number) results in no reply whatsoever. It seems to me very poor business sense and more than a little unethical to advertise such a benefit and then to be told that your access after spending all that money, is denied. PS, the night I asked about this benefit I was allowed to view the lounge area. It was completely empty. So being told that it depends on how busy or whether or not the space could hold executive producer members, was clearly not sustainable. Hopefully this will be addressed by the management and they will make good on their promises. I only write this because I felt personally that I am not alone in feeling misled about this turn around of award privileges and it needs to be addressed soon. Also, this can only bolster Plainridge Casino's reputation and attract more customers which in both the short- and long-terms would only benefit everyone.

We felt comfortable at the Plainridge Park Casino the moment we walked in. Its kind of confusing when driving there for the first couple of times. Not a big deal. Should you want something quick to eat, have a slice of barbecued chicken with bacon. Sweet!

Many new slot machines but the place is no longer packed like it used to be. The slots are not paying out at all !! Good thing about this place is it is non smoking. Only has 2 restaurants. One very small food court. No shopping area. It does have horse racing if you are into that. No live dealers. About 1 hour away from Boston but in the end I prefer Foxwoods. The casino hosts there treats you better and actually gives you more slot play to come down. At Plainridge I was told, sorry I can't give you anything after they contacted me to see what can be done to get me back to Plainridge. What a joke. When Encore aka Wynn opens in Everett, Lord help you Plainridge.

Another state influenced money factory with fixed percentages on winnings. When the place is crowded on a weekend with tourists just listen to hear of a jackpot. The silence is deafening. No live games which answers the question on fixed percentages. If you like overpriced commercial fare then this place is definitely for you. Perks are scarce and the only entertainment are the faces of the exiting defeated. They do have total NO SMOKING which is a draw. Please go because you help to lower my state taxes!

Even tho I prefer tables, they had the machine versions and were nice. Good live entertainment and a good size smoking zone outdoors. What I didn't feel so great about was the restaurants. Maybe because it was New year s Eve, but they weren't inviting. Still, to spend a few hours out of the cold and have a little fun, why not as they say !!

First and last time there went during the day there was hardly anyone there. Had to go inside and get the valet guy so he could take my car. Place is small no good games. Was very surprised no smoking inside. When I was ready to leave I went to valet counter to get my car and nobody was there. I rang bell and nobody came over. Went outside to look for someone and saw nobody. The security guy at the door couldn’t even help me to find a valet guy. All he says is they had walkie talkies before but don’t use them anymore. Now I’m pissed so I ring the bell like 5 times in a row and some punk kid comes out and says “what’s up” he claims they were sitting back there and never heard the bell. Finally got my car and was out for good.
