Our experience was awful. Room was so dirty we were afraid to sleep on bed. Floor was soaked so we couldn't walk around in our socks , I found dried noodles stuck to the floor, counters were sticky with dried food stuck to it, TV remotes did not work even after the maintenance tried to fi9 them. The glass panel on fire place and doors were so smudged it looked like a toddler smeared their tongue all over them. We could not get the ac to work and the door to the gazebo area would not open. For as much as we spent it was not worth it at all. Bathroom was way outdated and fan did not work. When you flushed the toilet it sounded like a plane landing for 2 min. No discount was given for such awful service. Beware. Plus not continental breakfast.

Front desk staff where friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, pretty and clean. The water park was perfect for the kids and the pool/hot tub area was enjoyed by the adults. Very nice experience and we are thinking of going back later in winter for a 'staycation'.

Conveniently located right off the interstate, I90. Great place for kiddos with a smaller indoor waterside park and hot tub for the grown ups. In line with what you'd expect from a Best Western. It's more affordable than many hotels in the Black Hills but it's more functional than luxurious

This hotel was very affordable! Upon walking in, it was clean and very well kept! Check-in was very simple and quick. Our room had two queen beds and a nice sliding glass door to a well maintained courtyard. Parking was very convenient and accommodating for our car and trailer. This hotel is also pet friendly and didn’t even charge a pet fee! I would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping in Rapid City.

Well-kept and beautiful. It's like a second home to me, and has a fantastic pool. The attached restaurant is the best food I've ever eaten in Rapid City.

This property is easy on to I-90 and also a gateway for Mount Rushmore. Great for families with 2 pools including a kid pool. Resturant is excellent with wide selection of menu items. Good value and friendly staff.

A nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff were very friendly. Checkout was easy and there was plenty of parking. The air conditioner in the room was not working very well. It made for a slightly warm evening in our room. Please note there are no elevators, so if you have trouble with stairs make sure you get a first floor room.

I have stayed at this hotel just about every week during the summer for the past 5 years. The staff is top notch and the hotel is great. They acknowledge me by name and always make me feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. I've never had any problems. I've only eaten in the restaurant a couple of times, and although the service was slow, the food was pretty good. I definitely enjoy staying at this hotel!

We just booked a Queen room in Bldg. E which is in the back. The room hadn't been cleaned since the last guests. We immediately called the front desk and explained the room hadn't been made up. The girl at the front desk responded with "are you sure?" She assured us that someone would bring a new room key over in 5 minutes. We waited over 10 and still no key. We went back to the front desk, but didn't even receive so much as an apology for the inconvenience. Just a "frankly we don't care" attitude. So it's off to Holiday Inn Express for us! I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel!

Nice hotel. First room didn't have a handle on the faucet but they were quick to move us to a new room when notified. Rooms were nicely appointed. Carpet seemed new as did the tile entryway and baths. Very convenient to Rushmore Mall where you can get the best pretzels at the Pretzel Place. Waterpark was fun for the kids though it is showing some wear and tear and some of the features weren't fully functional- water cannons no longer shoot out water and the fish and whale don't shoot water either. Pretty noisy inside as well, hard to have a conversation without shouting-maybe add some noise cancelling insulation to the ceiling? Overall a good hotel and a decent value.
