Captain's Corner

This place is worth a stay; if not for your entire trip, then just a night or two so that you can go to the private island. We purchased a cabana for a day and it was beyond amazing. And you get to feed the flamingos. Such a great experience!

Enjoyed staying here. Great pool area and the private beach is especially nice. The refrigerators in my room didn’t really cool at all. The room was nice though.

Outstanding!! Each and every person we encountered made our stay that much more enjoyable. From the valet attendant to check in to the severs, the level of service and attention to detail was immaculate. Our room was ready on time which was even earlier than anticipated and upon returning in the evening found we had received turn down service. Nice touch!! Outdoor pool was very nice with views of the ocean and port downtown. Servers and staff very friendly and always available. Overall I was very impressed, they take care in doing the little things that many establishments have abandoned, thereby making the stay that much more pleasing

Captain's Corner

This hotel is called Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. It is also called Renaissance Marina. Renaissance has other property called Renaissance Ocean Suites. Here I will write about the Marina hotel.  This is located in prime location and near to Downtown and Aruba government centres. Hotel rooms are neat and provide you basic toiletries(soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner), upon request you may get toothbrush & toothpaste). As a guest, the room I took was king room. Linen was decent enough. This hotel is attached to Renaissance Mall. So you always see a good crowd around the hotel. As a guest, you can make use of the fitness/gym centre. It has a spa, casino & restaurants attached. Aquarius restaurant is the one you can have breakfast if its inclusive in your package. As a guest, you have access to Renaissance Island(Flamingo Beach). They provide you two keys for the room. So two guests can make use of these room keys to go to the Renaissance private island. Guests can go any number of times. Whereas if its outsider they have to pay 125 dollars(Dec 2018 rates....sound too costly, lunch and drinks included) to access this island. It is worth to stay at this hotel and go to the flamingo's beach. This hotel has pool area and bar attached. It has live music in the evenings. view from the pool towards ocean is awesome. Also, you can see big cruise ships parked at the port from this view.  Most of the people got confused while booking reservations. There is other property called Renaissance suites, where you will get studio type of property. This property is attached to the ocean, whereas this Marina property is other side of the road. Both are two sides of the road. Overall Review: though it is a little costly, worth to stay and enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Captain's Corner

The Marina hotel is adults only. If you think this means quiet, think again. Our biggest disappointment was being awakened several times a night by noise from traffic, music, and revelers. Otherwise, the hotel is very nice. The pool is a bit small compared with the two at the Ocean Suites. We'll try the Ocean Suites part of the Renaissance next time. We loved the private island and water taxi to and from. The staff was courteous, and rooms were clean. Very good food poolside and via room service.

Really great place! You can go to private Island (Flamingo Island) from the hotel itself, no need to wait for any water bus from outside of hotel. It would be great if they had more space in rest room. Swimming Pool view is amazing!

Captain's Corner

Truly loved our stay here. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, there are very nice pools at both the Ocean Suites and Adults Only Marina side. As a guest at Renaissance, you have full access to Renaissance Private Island which is the only private island in Aruba, after traveling to much of the Caribbean, the atmosphere on the private island is perfect for couples and honeymooners and it was absolutely beautiful. Lots of younger people. A decent variety of restaurants, bars, and shops in and around Ren Aruba. The rooms could have been a bit nicer considering the cost, which is my only criticism. I now know why they call Aruba "One Happy Island" and would highly recommend Renaissance Aruba for a relaxing vacation or honeymoon!

Captain's Corner

Pros- clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good location, “private” island, economical, casino for entertainment, shopping close by, amazing close by restaurants Cons- loud music from the bar/pool area, included meals are repetitive, never gave us the One Happy Island honeymoon package we were promised The Renaissance Island is not going to give you a quiet private beach experience, it’s busier than most of the public beaches. The scenery is beautiful. The restaurant on the island has good food. The staff are excellent. Many upgrades available including cabanas and massages on the beach. Water is shallow, not great for swimming or snorkeling. Iguana beach is better than Flamingo beach in my opinion (depends on what kind of beach experience you’re looking for)

Captain's Corner

Right on the opposite side of the waterfront. A very nice location with outdoor swimming pool next to a bar/eating area. Rooms are typical of this hotel brand and try and get one high level and looking out to sea. A Starbucks coffee outlet on ground floor as well as a shopping mall all on site.
