The rooms are dated. However it is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very good.

Place is ok. They do have a pool and a dinner as well as a bar.
Parking is a little more difficult but all in all a place to hang your hat for a night.

Large hotel for the area, rooms are standard, and nothing stands out as a positive. However I could not find a thermostat in the room to turn off the AC so I ended up unplugging it. Bathroom vent does not have an on/off switch and seems to be always on, which is better than not having a vent at all. The parking is an odd situation as they have 4 parking lots to park in, 1 attached, 1 across a side street, 1 across the main road and down a hill thats gravel, and 1 farther down that hill also gravel. Of course the farther down the hill one is where I had to park. There was no continental breakfast but there is a restaurant and also a bar (pub?). It is close to the Ferry port so that is nice.

A fresh coat of paint and some renovations have really turned this place around. 2 years ago I would have Gi Eb a score of 2 stars but it has improved dramatically. Cant speak for the restaurant though.

The rooms were nice and the staff seemed very friendly, however, the reason I chose the Rodd Grand was for the hot tub, but the hot tub was old, with no vent or filter covers, the pump did nothing, and it was more of a warm almost hot tub. Besides that I enjoyed my stay.

Rooms are in need of some maintenance and touchups. The cleanliness could also be improved, everything in the room felt sloppy (the way the beds were made, the towels were hung, etc) it makes you wonder if it's been cleaned. The location is very convenient, close to everything. Wifi signal and speed was good. Staff is very helpful and service is always great.

Location is ideal and the rooms aren't bad. Beds are comfortable and clean. Rooms have a mini fridge and free WiFi. Restaurant is hit or miss and no complimentary breakfast.

My kids kept bitching about the WiFi... Told them to get over it.... ?? Other than, staff was great. Housekeeping is on top of everything. Rooms clean and comfortable. They have a pool and hot tub and small gym on site. As well as a restaurant. Stay here. Pricing is also quite worth it.
