We had reserved a one bedroom deluxe for our one week stay. The front desk told us all the one bedroom deluxe were all the same throughout the property. This was a direct lie to us their guests. Here is the information that you should have before you book there; do not stay in the CABANA buildings, they are not better than a low budget booking. There is no washer and dryer as there is in other buildings on the property under the one bedroom deluxe. We were in number 240. Upon our arrival in the unit, the place was filthy. There was streak of brown liquid running down the fridge and one wall in the living room areal; viewable dust on all baseboard. A woman couldn't open the cupboards as they were stuck to the frame with some brown sticky substance and the front panel were dirty grey on a beige background; the fridge was old and rusty. There was 1/2 inch of space in the inside door where the outside was visible. There was a broken piece of electrical plug in one of the electrical outlet; the garbage can was sticky; the air conditioning unit entire cover fell off on our feet when we tried to adjust the temperature; al the chairs had crusted food or ? in the crease of the seats; it was impossible to open the windows behind the kitchen table as the garbage bins were under our windows and smelly; our view on that side of the unit was a dirty mop laying on the fence and staff that came there to smoke during their shift. Contrary to all the other units, there was no balcony only a walkway as there is to get to a motel room. To be "green" the light bulbs were replace with bright lights energy saver, but the bulbs were the white blinding ones instead of the soft white. There was a laundry facility for those who didn't have washer and dryers in their unit, but it was taken all day by staff washing and drying the beach towels. Oh by the way, there was not enough towels to change when you wanted , only early in the morning or late at night. If you can stay in the WATERFALLS building or the OCEANSIDE buildings, this would not happen. when we check with other guests staying at Sea Gardens the sentiment was the exact same regarding the units in the CABANAS. We told front desk and concierge about these issues. A team of cleaners came and cleaned the unit on the second day of our stay. We were told that we would be moved to another better unit in the other building if available, but no one bother to call us back during the week and this was taxing our activities a great deal as we already had to pack so that the cleaning took place, hard to wait for a unit and pack again. On the positive side, we enjoyed Pompano beach were we spent most of our days.; the temperature was great in February, there is great restaurants in the vicinity; the courtyard is quaint and cosy. The pools were nice and the hot tubs too. The bar was lovely.

We stayed at the Wyndham Sea Gardens as a mini week exchange through our timeshare. We had a studio unit which was very small and very basic. We did not even have a balcony which made it difficult to get our beach towels and swimsuits dry for the next day, and having to find random spots inside our unit to hang them up. The kitchen part was well stocked with plates, pots, pans, etc, however we did not prepare our own food, as we go on vacay to dine out, but would have been great if we wanted to cook and eat in. We did use the blender to make some frozen drinks (which was nice to have). You will need a car if you are staying here, as we did not realize when booking. We did take a taxi to Ft. Lauderdale one night (Yellow Cab I believe) and it was $38 +tip one way. The concierge gave us coupons for food places nearby, we used both.... Seaside Grill in Pompano for brunch ($10 off- it was okay-poor), had dinner at the Chart House- Ft.Laud.($10 off- excellent) and then also had dinner at Houstons- Pompano (no coupon, but excellent). Overall the pool by the tiki bar was nice and large. We enjoyed the hot tub and being able to carry drinks around everywhere (take your travel mugs or a small cooler) There seemed to be plenty of lounge chairs and they did provide beach towels. The BBQ's by the pool were decent and made for a nice lunch at a very good price. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did also venture out to the Whyndham Palm Aire as my bf wanted to golf. I spent the day at the pool there, which the facilities were much nicer, of course newer. Activities seemed to be decent and more options for kids (including a nice waterslide). They had a resturant and snack area on site, which Sea Gardens did not have. Only downside to Palm Aire was the 6-7 mile drive to the beach.

Good generous sized two bed apartment, plenty of undercover parking, well maintained facilities, close to the beach. Pool areas great with garden shade. Staff were friendly and polite.

Born and raised in south Florida. I wish I had found this place earlier. What a hidden Gem. I can't believe it is only 20 minutes from my home. I will be back for weekend get aways. I have been driving to Orlando and Daytona for places not as nice as Wyndham's Sea Gardens. Great Place!

Of all the Wyndham properties I have ever stayed at ( and we've been Wyndham owners for 16 years ) this is the worst. The updates to the unit appear to have been completed hastily and shoddily. There is grout scattered about the tiles in such a way that several appear covered with mud. I checked to confirm that it was in fact not mud, but grout. The application of the stucco is amateurish at best. I found a couple of places where the stucco did not even cover the horrible orange paint beneath. In one such location there is a thermostat mounted. The thermostat was not removed as it should have been, but was simply rotated. As a result the thermostat is now mounted sideways on the wall. The fluorescent lighting above the cabinets in the kitchen is covered by a piece of cross-hatched plastic that isn't even mounted. It is laying across the cabinet. Seriously disappointed by Wyndham on this one. We will not stay here again.

Our suite is very nice but the resort could use an update. It's becoming dated. Also, there isn't a restaurant on site. A beach is across the street and you have to bring your own chairs. There are some to rent but they are old and rusted.

Be careful what building you are in. It is anbold resort and Wyndham has not renovated all the buildings. The first unit we were in was truly awful. The staff responded to our request for a new unit and two days after check-in we were moved to a unit in the renovated tower over looking the inter-coastal. Great place if you get a renovated unit. Until all work is complete in 2012 be sure you get a renovated unit or stay away.
