It was a long, seemingly unjustified, wait for a table for seven. My problem doesn't stem from waiting an hour, it wasn't a big deal. Now it became a problem when we we're seated it was where two tables stayed empty the entire time we waited--right in front of the restaurant. There was no explanation from the staff. If I was among a smaller group, I would have left.
The food was very good. I ordered riggies, and the chicken wasn't dry and the sauce was great. Their pizzas were also very good, and their baked meatballs was still sizzling when it was served. However, the menu is very pricey, especially considering the servings were small to boot.
Although I'm giving it three stars, I can't recommend it. The food was good, maybe even great, but it wasn't special enough to warrant the those prices. There's definitely better choices to dine if you must dine at Turning Stone as well.
