This place has so much great memories of when I was younger .Coney Island has so much fun activities to do such as rides the beach and classic food. I highly encourage you to come down to Coney Island and have some fun a nice warn day and swing by the beach.Meanwhile its great for kids to Rome wild have some fun .There are some thrilling rides but as for FUN THATS ONE CAPTURE .

We visited Coney Island during our recent trip to NYC. There is a subway that will take you right to the area, so that was convenient for us (it is a long trip however, from Queens area it was over an hour to get down to Coney Island). The outer streets have a wide assortment of shops and restaurants like you’d expect in a touristy type area, with Nathan’s Hot Dogs commanding a big presence on one of the street corners. The street areas were kind of filthy, especially around the subway station entrances. Also, in that area there is a decided lack of public restrooms though we did find more on the actual beach side of things. We walked through the amusement park area and rode the Wonder Wheel for $8 which was fun, we got some great views of the beach and surrounding areas. There is a wide boardwalk along the beach, with many gift shops and food joints along the way. The beach itself seemed fairly clean, and there were a lot of people there swimming and enjoying the (very hot) sun that day. We were actually there during some record setting heat, and we didn’t bring swim gear so that was something to deal with but we made out ok. All in all, we enjoyed the visit just to say we were there. As people who spend time at Florida beaches and theme parks, there’s no competition but there is a great deal of history so that made it a fun few hours to spend.

The board walk is filled with various restaurants , games , thrill rides and other attractions. Each time I visit the board walk I have a great time because there are so many attractions available to each individual . A word to the wise : be careful when and where you choose to use the bathroom . The bathroom in the carousel building is only accessible to customers who have purchased a ticket to ride the carousel. Also the regular public restrooms close at certain times during the day for maintenance and other cleaning services . Sometimes the only bathrooms available are the ones within Luna park which aren’t the cleanest because of the heavy traffic that flows in and out of these bathrooms .
All in all Coney Island is a great place to go to enjoy yourself . I usually steer clear of the beach because I’ve experienced used sanitary napkins washing up on shore next to my feet . Asides from the beach being a bit unclean , Coney Island is an amusement park that should be experienced at least once in life .

All I will like to see done is for them to something about the boardwalk. There are nails sticking out and older people like to take walks there. That is a bit dangerous for them. Besides that the place is wonderful.

Fab day out at the seaside and only an hour out of the city on the underground. There's a long Boardwalk with a fresh sea breeze and an amusement park for some fun! There are also a number of places to grab a bite to eat but not many that have indoor seating for cooler days. If it's really warm and sunny make sure to pack your swimsuit so you can go for a dip or just sunbathe on the beach!

Never a dull moment visiting Coney Island. Great place for kids. Brought my almost 4 year old and she had a blast. The rides cost $4 each, but if you're spending quite a few hours or the entire day the day pass may be a better option, depending on how many kids will be riding etc. You need a ticket to ride with your kid, however I found that some of the ride workers are willing to allow you to ride with your kid minus the ticket, so ask if its ok with them before you present a ticket for yourself. Save a few dollars if not using a pass. It can be costly, so it helps to bring your own snacks, water, etc.

This was one of our nice day trips using the fairy. Everything was still closed, so we had a very relaxed day strolling around. It has a special feeling to it when it´s so quiet. Quite enjoyable actually

Great memories from my childhood. This was a family place for outings and amusement rides. No Disneyland in my early days. So instead we had sun, sand and rides made a wonderful day. As a girl scout we had an annual march which ended with a day at the Steeplechase amusement park. Those were the days.
