My wife and I had our wedding at Vernon downs. From the start we were very happy with all of the staff as they were very accommodating and very generous.
On the day of our wedding we found out that the wedding coordinator was not able to make it and my wife was told that it was because his father was in the hospital and not doing well. My wife cried her eyes out in sympathy for everything he was going through. We then had a new person thrown into the mix that was terrible to work with. Upon check out our bill had an additional $1,000 in charges and the front desk could not tell me where they came from, but expected me to pay.
I called later to go pick up our wedding cake as we specifically pulled the replacement coordinator aside and asked that the remaining cake be set aside so we could wrap it for our 1 year anniversary. After a couple days I finally got a call back that they couldn’t find the cake but would follow up with the coordinator to figure out what happened. It has been almost 2 months and still haven’t received the replacement wedding cake that we were promised.
To make matters worse we now just found out that our wedding coordinator was not at the hospital with his “dying father”, he was actually in jail for a disgusting crime, because he was arrested the morning of our wedding.
We went from being very satisfied to being extremely disappointed and would never recommend Vernon Downs due to the lying, throwing out the wedding cake and the billing issues and the front desks lack of ability to solve the issue.

My Mom & I really enjoy staying here. The rooms are clean & the staff is nice. This is my Moms favorite place to stay and gamble. I am very disappointed in how Security handled a situation. My Mom left something in the lobby when we were checking in. When we realized and went to look for it...it was gone. We asked the front desk... They saw it but wasn't sure where it was and sent me to Security. I gave them the time frame hoping the could see on camera where it went. They told me the could but can't acuse. What good are the dam cameras then. Not too happy...

Was not happy at all. The honeymoon sweet was not worth $200. My boyfriend and I got a smoking charge even though neither of us smoke and we told the hotel that there was a burn mark on the tub when we got there. The smoking charge was another $200. So all together $400 for a night in a 3star room. And didn’t even gamble there we ended up going to turning stone for their games.

Always enjoyable with great venues and the hotel is awesome. I love the buffet and restaurants as well! Definitely worth a visit when I'm in the area

Nice track and fun casino. Its small but you get more bang for your buck. Machines range from older to ultra modern and are lots of fun. Good times to win slots are mid afternoon and late nights. Hotel is A+.

The place was very clean and quiet, especially considering the were horse races going on. The staff were very courteous sd nd professional. The all-you-can-eat buffet was fantastic!

Attended a wedding at Vernon Downs. Food and service was great. Awesome atmosphere. They need to do something about their sound system outside however.

Better payouts than turning stone. But, there aren't many games as it is a small place. It wasn't packed on a Friday night and that was nice. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because they had a promotion for new players and they told me the computers were down.

Great place to gather with friends and make new friends. Clean comfortable rooms . Very good food options from Mr.Gs restaurant to two buffets , miracle mile at horse race track and a great deli style. The best asset is the staff! Wonderful friendly people especially the two casino host Mark and Dan. They make there customers feel welcome and appreciated . Try vernon downs, you can play a lot longer then any other area casinos and feel safe at the same time. You can enjoy dancing, horse racing, playing the slots, gathering with friends and eating ! A fun time every time.

Fun night, good racing standard bred horses. Decent food at the Miracle Mile restaurant, good service, close to their casino.
