We had a great time! Thank you URcomped for arranging it! Looking forward to our next cruise!! Cruise director Zee Jay was amazing!! Enjoyed slots and black jack!!

Mixed feelings….wouldn't sail this boat again
Loved the Jimmy Buffett music playing around the ship & the Speakeasy was a must for any parrot head! This is a good cruise for someone who hasn’t cruised a lot, but if you’re a frequent floater… you will be disappointed! Food options in buffet & Fins Dining are lacking (at best) no traditional steak options like other cruise lines (unless you pay additional) Purchased upgraded prime menu & drink pkg. Drink package was a disappointment- didn’t include any coffee selections from the coffee shop or any alcoholic coffee drinks.
Loved the casino - it was empty most of the time & loved that it was non-smoking!! Waitstaff in casino wasn’t the best. For being empty, they stood around the bar & impossible getting drinks. Had to leave the slots & go to bar to get a drink.
This boat needs upgrades- especially to the AC. Casino wasn’t really hot 2 nights. They had fans running, but even staff complained. Our room was hot!! They came to adjust it 2 times & was still hot. Other complained their rooms were too cold, so very mixed.
If you’re use to normal cruise activities - this boat is lacking!! Not much to do, other than the casino. Great for relaxing, but boring at times & lived in the casino..
WiFi - spotting & frequently logged you in/out and only fix was guest services.
Embarking with the express pass was phenomenal!! Highly recommend!!!!

Islander is paradise!
Amazing! Totally different vibe than any other ship! If you’re looking for prim and proper and organized gameplay forget it if you’re looking to get away have an incredible experience laid back friendly people to converse with this is right up your alley!!! Amazing short but fabulous trip! The casino had plenty of room to set and play even won a game or two!!!!

Unexpected!
Wow, what an unexpected great time we had. Going in after being primary rcl anf ncl loyalists wasnt sure what to expect. Far exceding anything negatives or pre conceived expectations. All the staff, cabin stewards, servers, bartender but especially the casino staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Look forward to sailing with mvas again in the future!

Much Better Experience Than Expected
We really enjoyed our 5 night trip on the Islander. The ship, crew, and food were all very good to excellent. Our only disappointment was the casino. None of the machines were hitting. We lost quickly every dollar we put into a slot machine. The paybacks were simply not normal which makes me wonder if they abide by the Nevada gaming rules regarding minimum payouts. The only exception to that was the video poker machines. The payouts were reduced which was a disappointment, but the odds are standard since they cannot manipulate those. Even with the reduced payout schedule, I managed to earn a lot of points while only losing $200 at VP. Also the happy hour (3 to 6) $5 blackjack was fun. The blackjack rules were the usual "bad" rules. No surrender, no doubling after splits, only two cards when splitting aces and of course 6 to 5 B.J. payout. Tough to win in the long run with those rules. I did manage to get 1184 points for the trip which bumped me up to Silver and a free cruise. Hopefully it's a certificate I can use to sail again on Islander or maybe the new Beachcomber.

My cruise on Margaritaville Sea Islander
Attractive and easy to navigate layout. Very comfortable room. Ari is an excellent room steward. Louis taught 3 easy to follow dance classes and has a great personality as well. Caio organized an excellent karaoke superstar program and we finalists very well treated. Attended a song and dance variety show and was very pleased. Food at the buffet could stand improvement; would like to have pork sausage at breakfast. Found the pizza excellent. Found the staff very helpful and caring.
