Review for Cliff Castle Casino Hotel Review For Cliff Castle Casino Hotel Google User Jul 22 '13 at 18:54 I have been to Cliff Castle a total of 3 times. First time was OK, played some poker and left. unremarkable experience. Second time I was on my way home from a convention - went in for some poker and there were precisely ZERO humans in the poker room - including staff. Third time I had to drive up to the Cottonwood area for a job. I saw the $7 buffet signs on the way and thought I'd give them a 3rd chance on my way home. The poker room was offering a game different than I remembered a 1-6 limit game as opposed to 3-6 or 4-8. When I arrived there was only one table going. I put my name on the list and went to the buffet - WHAT A MISTAKE! Since it was Saturday they up-charged the buffet, supposedly for the prime rib which was considerably bloodier than I'd like. I tried some of the pot roast. The chunks of beef were not hard as rocks, but certainly hard as wood or coal chunks. The Sweet & Sour pork was actually edible if you wanted to take a couple minutes to gnaw on each chunk. The poker was as always a little up, a little down, but when the excessively loud bass noises started coming through the wall and the dealer said that it would continue through 1 or 2am my exit strategy was to win 2-3 pots putting me ahead and paying for the deplorable buffet. I ended up stopping at Casino Arizona Talking Stick for some more poker, unmolested by loud bass noise, and a decent meal. STAY AWAY FROM THAT BUFFET! View full site to comment or like
