Review for Island Resort & Casino Review For Island Resort & Casino Google User Aug 1 '17 at 5:05 My wife and I usually stop in once every time we take a trip up the U.P. It's a smaller sized casino compared to anything in Vegas, but it has tons of slot machines packed into it's confines. There's also a couple roulette tables, black jack tables, and other random poker tables. They also have devoted poker rooms for tournaments that are held often. There is a bingo room in the northern-most portion of the casino. The casino has come a long way in the past 15 years since I had started going in it. There's a few restaurants and bars within and an ice cream shop and even a Starbucks! Connected to the casino is a hotel that has been remodeled a couple times and added expansions every so often. There's also a concert room towards the southern end of the casino. Lots of big name bands and entertainers have graced their stage. As part of their expansions, they have added a beautiful 18-hole golf course behind the casino. I haven't played on it so I don't know how good it is, but I've heard good things from the locals.
